Random eyedropper that came with my Noodler's HoD, inked with Waterman Red.

An Esterbrook J (beautifully restored by Ron Zorn) with a smooth 9461 nib loaded with Diamine Royal Blue. A sweet write!

A simple but elegant Parker 21 with Parker Quink blue. Like a loyal family pet, the '21' greeted me on first invitation with a reassuringly clean blue line on to a virgin piece of Clairefontaine. Magic.

Today is the first day with my new Pilot Vanishing Point. It is slate grey with a medium nib, and currently filled with Waterman Blue Black. It is a pen of firsts for me:

  • first gold nib
  • first pen from Richard Binder
  • first pen over $100

I don't get to take it to work because of the weather here has things closed, but I'll catch up on some cards I need to write.

I've got an L2k and a Bexley 10th anniversary sitting on my desk, but I keep reaching for a clear TWSBI...PR American Blue looks so good in it!

OK, I loaded the M605 with my blue-black mix "Midnight Rain" and gave it a spin yesterday. Continuing with it today to destroy some perfectly innocent white space in a Kunst & Papier journal. For some reason, the .5mm cursive italic from Richard Binder is wider than my others. For a while I was thinking of returning it, but instead I'll keep it and learn how it likes to be held. Here's a pic:

Today, it was my Parker 51 inked with Waterman Havana brown (A great name for an ink, but a little too much on the red side for my tastes), my trusty Jinhao pocket pen inked with Pelikan 4001 brilliant brown, and a wonderful Lamy 99 with Aurora black. Today's the first day I've really put the Lamy through any rigorous writing, and I think the nib (a beautiful Medium semi-stubish 14K) is a little too broad for my shrunken note-taking handwriting.

How 'bout a rOtring 900 just received in today's mail, chrome with a B nib, inked with Diamine Imperial Purple. What a cool ink color, and an interesting, long pen
