What Pens Are You Using Today?

Today, I took my baby to work - the Montegrappa NeroUno Linea with MB Midnight Blues (blue-black) ink. I just couldn't leave it at home! While signing letters, I was struck again by what a beautiful instrument it is, and the ink is very professional and eye-catching at the same time :)

It's the '54 P51 fine in teal with Skrip blue in the pocket. In the case: My Pelikan M600 medium green and the ever-present Pilot VP pencil (.05). These should get me through my planning break at Boston Stoker today!

I used my 1950s Pelikan 400 with a wet flexible medium nib all day today. How I love this pen. Thanks to Rick Propas for a great sale.

When I was fourteen years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned twenty-one, I was astounded how much he had learned in the last seven years.

I am busy writing up my travel journal from out recent honeymoon, so I'm using my Mont Blanc Chopin edition with a medium nib and MB blue/black ink. I'm writing in a Quaderno Italiano staple bound book, which has very nice paper, just a shame I couldn't find a lined version.

For the New Year I have tracked down all of my fountain pens that were put aside to dry out. And there are many! I am doing my penance (pun intended) by cleaning them all. Whew!

My New Year's resolution is to ink only one pen at a time. Or at least to clean a pen every time a ink another. How long will that resolution last? Oh well ....

Anyhow, I have only one inked pen today. It is my Sailor Professional Gear, ivory with silver colored trim and nib, Medium Fine, with Noodler's Black. Great combo, and I think my very best writer. Great way to start a new page.

Wishing a Happy and Healthy New Year to all!

Interesting sounding ink. Do you have an example of it?

Today's pen is a late 1980s red/burgundy Pelikan M600 with a XF 18k nib inked up with Aurora Blue.
