Main pens today: just filled the Targa with Aurora Blue, plus the Dani Densho is still working on its gallon of Noodler's Walnut.

Isn't sanity really a one-trick pony, anyway? I mean, all you get is one trick, rational thinking! But when you're good and crazy . . . ooh hoo hoo hoo! . . . the sky's the limit!

Last day of "ski" trip (minimal snow and marginally sick kid, so lots of resting and only a little skiing). Brought with me a 10-pen case, a 2-pen case, plus one more that would be in a pocket when not doing activities that might break pens or bones.

In the 2 pen case are:

- blue Omas Articulata with blue ink

- Creme de Menthe Visconti Opera with PR Gray Flannel.

In the 10 pen case are:

- Faber Castell Guilloche in red with Levenger Cardinal ink

- Pelikan M215 with 30 degree right foot nib. Didn't realize it, but it's empty. Was supposed to be the main pen to be used this week. Oh well.

- Monteverde Artista with Noodler's Apache Sunset

- Vanishing point with Platinum Blue/Black, Mottishaw right foot oblique

- Marlen Dossenus with black ink

- Ancora with PR Orange Crush

- Laban Mento with Sheaffer Brown

- Waterman Liaisaon with Waterman Brown, Binder Arabic nib

- Bexley Submariner Grande,

- little Sheaffer flat top with nice cap & cruddy barrel with Pelikan Green. (short pen good for short pockets)

- Dani raw ebonite with the same black ink filled at the DC show (darn this thing holds a lot of ink!)

- the 'lost & found' late model Camel, bought, restored by Ron Zorn, and 'lost' at the LI pen show. Found it while packing for the trip!

And, the one that is getting the most use this trip, a big red Diamond Point flat top with a Waterman nib, restored by Joel Hamilton.

Oh, and my Christmas ballpoint, which the waitress on Christmas eve actually guessed in what may have been record time... do you know what it says?

NOEL!!! :roflmho:

Todays is a Forest Green Parker "51" aero with GF converging lines cap I just finished working on. What a writer, and what a looker!

Today being lazy at the kitchen table, watching Chris cook.... Hmmm. Conway Stewart Dandy in the Blue Ice, with some fantastic PR American Blue. That stuff is perfect in this pen! Also my Xmas present MB LeGrand with some MB Black.

Incidentally, this is my 2nd go-'round with the LeGrand. First was a medium point that was skipping all over the place. Took it into the shop in San Francisco Friday, and they happily and instantly swapped it out for me. This time I went with a fine point (medium was way broad, in my eye). So 3 cheers for their customer service !

Today's pocket perch: a fine nib Lamy 27n, lustralloy style cap with gold filled clip and band. The main user: Pilot VP carbonesque with medium nib--a true workhorse.

The MYU will be lonely for most of this month until I get the nib adjusted for better flow (one tine is a bit off).

M800 and my Sheaffer.

I photograph these pens the night before and put them where I will see them first when I wake up. Cause if I haven't had copious quantities of coffee it would traumatize me to decide which pens to use.

And once I have had my coffee there is plenty of wiggle room to add one or two more during the course of the day.

Back to work today! :D

I am taking along a 2-pen black leather pouch that contains:

--a red Pelikan Level 65 filled with Pelikan Blue ink (in case I have to take lots of notes on my first day at a new job  )

--a green English Parker Duofold (I think it's a Demi size, but I'm not sure....just got it yesterday via eBay)--aerometric filler-- loaded with Parker Quink Blue-Black

Paid my January bills writing checks with a 1950s Geha Schulfuller. Inexpensive black plastic piston filler with a fantatic semi-flex steel medium nib, filled with a homebrew blue black ink (too many components to list).

Journalled this morning with my other Geha Schulfuller. This one with a fine nib, filled with Waterman South Seas Blue.

Everything else today was written with a modern Sheaffer Imperial with inlaid steel medium nib, filled with a teal ink mix (I think it is a mix of Pelikan Green and Bexley Turquoise).

Well, almost everything. I jotted a few notes with a burgundy Hero 329 with fine nib, filled with an ink mix of Omas Vespucci Red and PR Fiesta Red.

Pelikan m400 white tortoise with PR orange crush. I like the stub-ish quality of this medium that I got from ChartPak - not buttery smooth, but gives nice line variations.

Namiki VP, Black with Gold Trim - Noodlers Blue-Black

Pelikan M800, Black - Noodlers Ottoman Azure

Hero 100, Stainless - Noodlers Legal Lapis

It's crazy how much I like that Hero 100. I don't even like XF nibs, but I love the way this one writes. (Chinese F)
