Waterman's Crusader with a big, beautiful stub nib and Noodler's Blue~Black, also still using;

2) a Waterman's CF, black and white, with Sheaffer's Blue~Black

3) a Noodler's demonstrator eye-dropper with Heart of Darkness Black, this pen holds a ton of ink and next to a Parker 45 Flighter, is a favorite 'go anywhere' pen.

4) a brown striped Sheaffer's Balance 350, #3 EF nib, also with Noodler's HoD.

Parker Sonnet M with Skrip blue-black from the '50s.

I was going to use a Pilot 78g with Noodler's Texas Live Oak, but I quickly discovered it had thrown up a little into its cap (and then, of course, all over my hands). So it's in the penalty box.

Third day, same pen. I think all I may need is one pen and one ink. Am I cracking up?

Doug

You may have found your one true love. I'm now a couple of weeks into my Spirit of Life and can't put it down. I teamed a Delta Profili with it today, just for contrast. But my hand seems to go to the Spirit of its own volition...

Lamy 2000, XF nib with J. Herbin Cafe des Iles. Pilot Cavalier, F nib with Noodler's bulletproof Black. Lamy (Charcoal) Safari, XF nib with J. Herbin Cafe des Iles.

Just got the Lamy 2000 today. It's so amazing smooth. I'll probably swap out the really wet J. Herbin for the Noodler's black, or Legal Lapis if I can get my hands on some.

Inked with Noodlers Blue Black.

Is that a Parker "51"? (Sorry, I am new to fountain pens.) It looks absolutely amazing, and I've heard legends about that buttery nib if it is a 51.

Edit: Using the Lamy 2000 again today. I just got it as a birthday present and I love it.

This pen looks very cool - I have been eyeballing it for a couple of days.

Any chance we get a short review?

Respectfully disagreeing since 1978.

I wouldn't even attempt to write a review as I know next to nothing about fountain pens, whilst looking to buy a new pen I saw the video of this fountain pen on the Parker site and fell in love with the look of the pen.

The pen seems a nice weight and writes very nicely, the look of the pen is even better in real life. I decided to get the ball pen at the same time as I think this will suit me better at work, the new QuinkFlow ball pen refill is very nice and glides when writing unlike a normal ballpoint pen.

I am sure that someone with this pen will give it a full write up soon.

Two workhorse pens with very pleasant inks:

- Waterman Graduate fine nib w/ Diamine Chocolate Brown

- Parker 45 fine nib (to me, this is a medium...) w/ Diamine Royal Blue (one of the most underrated blues I know)
