It's a toss up between an S T Dupont Andalusia, Medium with South Sea Blue Waterman Ink, or a Pelikan Souveran 1000, Fine nib with Green Waterman Ink... I feel colourful (probably compensating the dull and wet weather outside)!! :hmm1:

Best

After a long summer vacation I was back at school today. Of course I decided to start my freshman year in university with my Pilot Cavalier (with a Fine nib). The ink for today was J. Herbin Vert Empire (I just received it from my order at Goulet Pens).

this is my first post, but i have 2 FPs and right now i use mine as...well...you'll all think i'm strange, but i bought a sheaffer caligraphy mini-kit, love the nibs (italics), i hate the berrel on it, it digs into your hand very painfully, so i have a jinhao X750, bold nib (writes like a medium) and when i want to use the italic nib from the sheaffer (only use the fine) i just pop it into the jinhao body...it clips in and snaps like it's made for it and fits perfectly, it's just amazingly comfortable :3 what do you think about this? is it crazy?

I received the New! and Improved! Piston ver. 1.5 for my TWSBI F, so I'm using that today, loaded with Private Reserve Purple Mojo. The testing will now commence. :hmm1:

I just got a Sailor ProColor Medium in the mail today. I was looking forward to it, as I have never owned a Sailor. But what a disappointment! The nib is scratchy, despite being given the brown paper treatment. So, for today, I will revert back to one of my Preppys, which are always reliable though as cheap and plastic as. Probably the 0.5 Blue.

Find a 10x or 20x loupe, and examine the tines closely. Chances are, they are slightly out of alignment, and easily fixed.

After destroying the nib on a Safari and a Waterman Phileas, I'm using my two remaining Safari's until I get some new ones in the mail. Grinding into stub italics = dangerous.

Sheaffer Snorkel Sentinel in pastel grey. The PdAg nib has the angled, script "Palladium Silver" which I think I read somewhere means it's older and has higher silver content. <shrug> Ink is Private Reserve Grey Flannel, but it appears somewhat greenish in my Rhoida Webbie (A6 size) journal. Not thrilled with that at all, but the pen itself is a joy. The nib is fine, but if I flip it over and use the top, it's extra-fine, which is kind of neat.
