Esterbrook Silver gray LJ

Noodlers Turquoise

Sleek, shiny, this pen certainly doesn't look its age, perfectly "techno-chic" beside my Mac Book Pro

today I use Pelikan 400. this is small pen whit fine nib, but maybe combination whit reform 1745 which I have sought a very long time. I think that is not important which pen we are going to use, but it is important collect much more pen and enjoy in writing. my own life would not be same when these pen would not exist.

Playing about with Fraktur using a Safari 1.9i. Results hideous, not pen's fault. Maybe I need a fractured nib.

When you're good at it, it's really miserable.

Isn't the 1745 delightful? One of my favourites.

Today I feel like using my Lamy st with an F nib. Ink: black; Lamy black (not my favorite black ink, but I'm out of others).

A grey Lady Patrcia- inkvue model with Diamine light green ink.

I'd rather spend my money on pens instead of shoes and handbags.

Today I ran the Pelikan 120 out of BSB, switched to the Parker Tball Jotter and then at home whipped out the Waterman #5 nib-on-a-stick and the Cape Cod Cranberry.

Visconti Homo Sapiens

Inked with Iroshizuku Wild Grapes. Interesting observation about this ink...directly out of a fresh bottle, the ink exhibits a beautiful bordeaux shading; however, after sitting in the converter for some weeks (with minimal usage), it slowly loses that bordeaux hue and becomes merely an attractive brown very similar to Sailor Brown.

Emptying/flushing the converter followed by a recharge from the opened bottle returned the bordeaux color. So, exposure to ambient air over a period of weeks clearly has some effect on the ink's color. OTOH, once it's on paper and dry, I've noted no color shift whatsoever.

I always get a kick out of these "no affiliation" notations when it's blatantly obvious the poster has absolutely nothing to do with the brand, company, etc. beyond being a customer. It must be a feel-good/feel-important thing. So I'll note up front that nothing I write here on this forum is influenced by any financial-gain motivation.

I seemed to have grabbed a copper-flake Haolilai to make notes this morning. That's when screw caps really fall down: when you just have a password or a hex address to scribble down, unscrewing a cap and replacing it takes five times as long as the writing. The snap cap on the Hao is much more practical.

I'm in for another (long) day of reading and note-taking, so mostly:

Pilot Vanishing Point Blue Carbonesque, XXF Waverly nib, Aurora Blue.

But also:

Chatterley/Delta Marmo Venato, stub nib, Montblanc Racing Green, almost out of ink.

Nakaya Dragon, flexy medium nib, Caran d'Ache Amazon, ever reliable.

Pelikan M205 Blue Demo, broad nib, Noodler's Baystate Blue, for addressing envelopes.
