A plum coloured Osmiroid 65 Mk 2 filled with Diamine Damson. It doesn´t get a lot of use these days but my mother bought it for me in 1971 and it still writes beautifully thanks to a NOS replacement Rolatip nib :)

Pilot vanishing point (main)

Lamy Safari (backup)

Lamy Joy Calligraphy (for practicing my abyssimal penmanship when I am bored)

Give up my fountain pen? You'll have to pry it from my cold, dead, inkstained, hands!

I didn't really settle on one pen today, picking up 5 or 6 different ones during the day, but mostly used a Hero 616 Jumbo with Aurora Black, the least expensive pen of the lot, but a very nice writing pen.

Today I've been on a safari trip (penwise that is) one with an F nib and one with an 1.1mm nib. Dark Matter in the first and MB Burgundy Red in the latter.

The Nakaya Negoro arrived this morning. Not a great shot, but I took the picture quickly just to share my excitement, hooray! *Still happy dancing*

Today I jotted BSB notes with the '40s Waterman lever-filler and updated my books in violet pensée with the Hero 329. A letter to an old college friend was written in Diamine Sapphire using my Lamy 2000 (of the correct period, incidently.)

Pelikan 120 : Lamy 2000 : Sheaffer PFM III : Parker DuoFold Jr : Hero 239 : Pilot Vanishing Point : Danitrio Cum Laude : Esterbrook LJ : Waterman's 12 and an unknown lever-filler : Lambert Drop-fill : Conway Stewart 388

MB Racing Green : Diamine Sapphire Blue , Registrar's : J. Herbin violet pensée , café des îles : Noodler's Baystate Blue : Waterman Purple, Florida Blue

Today I used my Jinhao 500 medium nib fountain pen with Lamy Black ink in a converter (not a cartridge fan). I'm still surprised at the quality of this pen considering the price (less than $5 on eBay). It writes very well, starts right up after no use for several days, and people always comment on it when I pull out the pen to sign a receipt. For a daily-use writer that I'm not too nervous to carry around town, this pen can't be beat.

Can't wait to try Montblanc Irish Green and Lavender Purple in it (assuming, of course, that my family actually read my birthday wish list).
