What Pens Are You Using Today?

Just restored a brilliant yellow pen, a Cavalier (a third-tier Southern Fountain Pen Co. product from the 30s).

It was stained with green ink, so after I scrubbed the stains off, cleaned up some buggeration to the feed (someone had ravaged it with pliers) and installed a new sac, I loaded it with Skrip green, and it has scarce left my hand since then. A really sweet writer.

Just finished with a customized Pelikan M1000, medium stub, inked with Iroshizuku Asa-Gao (Morning Glory).

I always get a kick out of these "no affiliation" notations when it's blatantly obvious the poster has absolutely nothing to do with the brand, company, etc. beyond being a customer. It must be a feel-good/feel-important thing. So I'll note up front that nothing I write here on this forum is influenced by any financial-gain motivation.

The workhorses today were were:

Pelikan Everest

Bexley 2010 Owners Club

Filcao Silvia (with Herbin Vert Empire)

I had those backed up with my Visconti Van Gogh (Visconti Green) and Aurora Optima (with Diamine Blaze Orange).

For the evening, I'm debating keeping the Pel out, and/or going with the Visconti Voyager Kaleido (Visconti Black). We'll see...

So glad someone else likes the orange pen with blue ink combo

My answer has been the same for a month and a half: Edison Morgan B nib. :cloud9: Lately it's been enjoying Herbin Eclat de saphir or Waterman Havana.

Let's see...at work today, I used my Lamy Studio, which I used to love. Now, I love the finish and style, but the nib...eh.

At home, writing letters, I used my Montegrappa Miya Argento with a Broad nib and PR Chocolat ink...DIVINE :) I'm about to head to the kitchen for chocolate ice cream ;-)

Then, I used my Visconti Opera w/F nib, which I really enjoy writing with, though I've had it just a few days.

Jumbled things up a bit today.

Parker 65 Signet, F nib, Waterman Florida Blue (the main pen)

Pelikan M 400 (black 80s style), F nib, Noodler's Dark Matter

Parker 61 Mk II, F nib, Iroshizuku Momiji (Vermillion)

Pelikan 400 (green-stripe, 50s style), EF flex nib, Noodler's Green

I had my Libelle pen wrap with 5 others in my case, but the 4 main pens took care of everything with aplomb.

Today I am using my MB Starwalker. I bought this pen with a fine nib but that seemed more like a medium to me, too wide for my handwriting. My local pen dealer sent it to Mont Blanc and, four days later, I have my Starwalker with a beautiful Extra Fine nib - at no charge!

There may be cheaper places to buy pens, but there is absolutely NO SUBSTITUTE for a local pen dealer!!! And kudos to Mont Blanc for a free nib exchange program.

Anyhow today I am writing with my Starwalker, black resin model, Extra Fine nib with PR American Blue ink. WooHoo!

Working mostly in-office today, parked in front of the laptop. But I did get some pen time in. Only used a couple, my Visconti Wall Street (still with Noodler's Ottoman Azure), and my burgundy Aurora Optima (f nib, filled with Diamine Blaze Orange).

Later, I had my MB Ruby Boheme out as the note-taker for the afternoon...
