Conklin Sapphire Blue flat-top (c. 1925) from Jake's Pens. And a fat, black Sheaffer vac-fill something or other with a wonderfully precise Triumph nib and no cap.

Seems to be the Salami OB again. Beyond making a couple of notes in between hammering the keyboard and hauling the dogs out to well never mind, I haven't had the time for much else.

When you're good at it, it's really miserable.

Red Estie M2 with Noodler's Burma Road Brown. Tried the Estie J with Perle Noir but it flows like a tap.

For weeks it has been my Pilot Fermo (now imported to the US - I bought mine in Italy some time ago) fine nib with Noodler's Midnight Blue. My other pens must be getting jealous.

Studying (still), so lots of notes

Marine Green Sheaffer Balance OS (0.8 mm Minuskin stub) - Montblanc Toffee Brown

Lamy 2000 (EF) - Sailor Nano Blue-Black. More like a dark turquoise - not the color I was expecting or hoping for. We'll see if I warm up to it.

Today is the last day for my Rotring 600 Medium. Tomorrow's arriving my Pelikan Pura Medium.

Gave a bunch their daily stroll: couple of Salamis, Hero M86 & 616, CS58, Sheaffer 444, Haolilai & a P45. My two P61s have gone on strike but I haven't got the time to unbung them. Truth to tell I've had a bellyful of these two, but they have personal value - wife & I did our degrees with them - so I'll not part with them.

I'd like to buy something nice, but I've got a week in Italy coming up and the wretched clients' cheque-writing pens seem to be dry.

When you're good at it, it's really miserable.

Today I am using my Pelikan M1050 with an O3B nib and some Montblanc black ink loaded in.

And how can this be, because he is the Kwisatz Haderach.

A broad nibbed Pelikan M400 Tortoise with Iroshizuku Kon-peki and Fine nibbed Pelikan M200 with Waterman South Sea Blue. No matter what I seem to have inked, I always find myself reaching for the Pelikans.

A Pilot Lady Pearl 1700 from 1980 or so. A very nice smooth nib with a perfect flow. The ink is Noodler's Old Dutch.

Tonight I used my new, fresh from Ebay, hand-turned wooden pen. There is just something about wood that evokes emotion in me. Hmm, my dad was a carpenter... could that be part of it? hmm1.gif

Today I'm using:

  1. Edison Pearl bulb-filler, F, Noodler's Golden Brown
  2. Lamy 2000, BB, Noodler's Zhivago
  3. Pelikan solid blue M805, F, Noodler's Navajo Turquoise

It's going to be a good day.

Today's pen is a mid 1960s vintage Navy Grey Parker 51 Aerometric with lusterloy cap inked up with Diamine Presidential Blue.

Today is the olive green NOS 1967 Parker 45 filled with Noodler's Burma Road Brown. It feels eerily like a felt-tip pen, and although it's marked "F" (for fine, I presume), it leaves a pretty wide, yet dry line. I think I'm going to try and find an extra fine tip to try in it.
