Ed Ronax - another watch aficionado. How many in your collection? And your fav? I have 25 but stopped now. Pens are my new achilles!

I find there is a greater collector in me than a user. So under this unforgiving burden I have just purchased a Visconti Knights Templar. This and my V Kakadu will never be inked. I know some will say what a shame but I have other nice Pens which are inked and I can enjoy.

As I mentioned earlier I have been a Free Mason for over 20 years and have read about the Knights Templar so this Pen is one I have sort for a while. I guess the dreaming is over and soon it will join other great Pens I have.

Any others out there in Pen Land with V Knights Tempar?

Today mainly using a Parker Duofold Centennial with Diamine Umber ink. My MB 149 ran out of ink yesterday (current most used pen) but I forgot to fill it last night!

I also have a Parker Duofold Rubis International in my trouser pocket for when I am out of the office and need to jot a note or two

It's a Lamy day:

Charcoal Safari B with Caran d'Ache Night Blue, and my Black-Purple Al-star 1.1mm italic with Lamy Blueblack.

Today's my first run with Lamy bb. I'm currently in love with blueblacks. This one's color is somewhere between Mont Blanc's and Sheaffer's bb. It shades and seems to flow well with the 1.1mm.

Mate, welcome. I'm kinda new myself. Lamys and Pelikan are very popular here, you'll be in good company.

My favorite is an early 1930 lady lapis lazuli Duofold, but on regular basis i use my early chinese laquer sonnets (the amber, firered and gold over brown) and my centennial duofold. Occasionally, i use one of my Maki namiki's/platinums. Hoping to write soon with a great mandarin junior, i think i could get it restored again.

Parker 51s: Insignia and Flighter. They've been my most-used for weeks now. Frankly, they're boring me silly, and really making me remember what I didn't like about the hood/section. Not so well suited for long bouts of writing, IMHO.

Fixin' to order a couple of vintage Pelikan 400s. Dunno what I was thinking when I sold the one I had before.

Lamy Al-Star inked with Lamy blue (medium nib)

Rotring Core inked with FPN Noodler's Tulip Noire (XL nib--this is the Clown Nose pen, and in case anyone followed that saga, I updated the thread last Friday). I actually have this bad boy on a lanyard now. XD

The Parker 45 Flighter I've been carrying is still giving me fits, so I'm going to leave it home for a few days for it to think about how it's been behaving, then give it another shot (maybe with some Quink, if I can find some). I'm also going to leave the Pelikan M400 white/tortoise at home--it's lovely, but perhaps too lovely to carry with me to school....

Have been missing my Parker 51 Special (black w/ lustalloy), so I pulled it out this morning and filled it with PR midnight blues. It writes as well as I remembered, wonderfully!!! These really are remarkable pens.

I helped index the the 1940 US census
