Today it is my Pilot Fermo, fine nib. I ran out of ink while visiting Boston and purchased a pack of Pilot Blue-Black cartridges at Levenger. Nice color. I think I'll use them for awhile.

A German made Lyra Calypso roller ball that uses fountain pen ink. This little pen is a translucent yellow with a silver metal clip. It will accept the short or long versions of the international ink cartridge. If you use a short cartridge, you can store one more cartridge behind it in the pen barrel. This RB writes a fairly smooth line and can accept any color bottle ink, filled with a syringe. Mine is filled with Visconti green ink. The pen is a five dollar purchase, however, they are kind of difficult to find. The RB that uses FP ink, in my opinion, is going to be more relevant in the future. Presently there are three or four pens on the market that have this system but I think we will see more of them soon! This little pen can be used for anything from journaling to writing the grocery list. At five dollars, one does not have to worry about losing it either!

I'm using one pen, my Pelikan M215 Lozenge with a Medium nib and Noodler's Black ink.

I have received a few promotional rollers over my corporate years which are better balanced, better looking and write better than my 18 year old brushed stainless steel parkers. One, in particular, looks spectacular also. Go figure!

I just received back yesterday, my Sheaffer Clipper (1952-1963). I had this fountain pen fully restored. It is a green-aqua color with goldtone/silver trim. The cap is chased stainless with the goldtone clip. Cap ring is goldtone. This pen has a palladium silver Triumph M nib. The pen likely had been well used by one person and the nib was a little rough from uneven wear. This was smoothed out and a new filling system was installed. It polished out really nice! I filled it with Waterman black ink, it writes out really well! The Sheaffer Snorkel is likely my favorite pen of all time. I read where the Hero 329 resembles the Parker 21 and 51 but I have a 329 and it looks an awful lot like this Snorkel! I just love these Snorkels!

I am unable to attach images from my phone but today I have the Bixley orange simplicity as well as a black 51 special and a little blue Esterbrook "J" with a 2668 nib. PR american blue in the 51 and the Bixley; Waterman south sea blue in the Este. Too bad about not being able to upload images. I'll have to investigate.

You like the Lamys by the sound of it. I'm favouring Visconti but yet to ink any and try it. I will though with my newly acquired Opera Master with 14K585 M nib. I am currently inquiring if I can replace the nib with an oversize. It should be possible.

Still using my Pilot Fermo, Pilot Bue-Black ink. Adding to that my Pelikan 405 roller ball, black and chrome, with Ohto 0.5mm blue-black ceramic refill.

Funny - the Pilot fine fountain pen and the Pelikan roller have virtually identical line widths and ink color. You can hardly spot the difference on a page. The FP has a subtle, feathered touch to the line on close inspection.

Graf von Faber Castell Classic Pernambuco with fine nib and PR Chocolate cartridge

Loiminchay Mini Qian-Long Black/Red with med. nib and Diamine Sapphire Blue cartridge

Pelikan Piazza Navona with fine nib and my own mixture of brown based on Noodlers Kiowa Pecan

Dunhill AD2000 in gold plate with med. nib and Noodlers Ottoman Azure

I don't use cartridges very much, but the Loiminchay doesn't work well with a converter. It works fine with cartridges, so I bought some for use with this pen as well as with a Jorg Hysek that also prefers cartridges. I just put the chocolate in the Faber because it had not been in circulation for quite a while.

I'm planning to carry my Majestic (1930s lever filler with semi-flexible Warranted nib and black & white cracked ice celluloid), with Noodler's Black, and my blue pinstripe Eversharp Skyline, with PR Ebony Blue, to work today.
