Most days I use:

MB 146 Le Grand (EF nib) with MB blue ink

MB Homage a Frederick Chopin (M nib) Diamine violet ink

The Carene is a really a treat on days and although I prefer my MBs, it feels really special :)

I've been out on secondment for the last week and a half- In a steelworks. So it's been the Charcoal Safari, F nib(Sailor Blue), burgundy Pilot Knight(Black Quink), and today a Fine-point UniBall Vision Elite Blue-black. I was originally slated to be working in a nice, airconditioned control room wiring up a panel, but got a call to go over to the blower station- 45ºC, 95% Relative humidity, and 90dB in the quiet parts... Glad I didn't subject my Conway Stewarts, Vac or 61 to that!

Just Thought I would exercise some of my low cost chinese pens today

Huashilai Gold Blue Swirl fine 22kgp nib and no name blue ink cartridge....This pen has proved difficult to get started and needs an increased ink flow to get best out of it..a work in progress

Huashilai Executive Gey Marbled fine 22kgp nib wth Diamine chocolate Brown ink...This is a very nice wet writer

Bookworm Amber Celluliod Flower fine nib with Diamine Umber ink...another nice writer

All the above pens have rigid smooth steel nibs and are fantastic value for money.

They are all built like tanks and I find them too unbalanced and heavy when posted so I use them unposted.

They compliment my older (1930 to 1970 )semiflex and rigid nibbed lightweight piston and plunger filler pens and its nice to swap between them to gain an appreciation of the huge differences a nib and change of balance can make
