What Pens Are You Using Today?

I'm still in a rearranging/discernment phase, and haven't used my fps much lately. But today I hope to write a letter with an Itoya Blade, a pen I wanted to get long ago, and which surprised me with its smoothness and bright, cheery blue ink.

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

I briefly used my Visconti Ragtime III with Noodler's Legal Lapis for a bit. Last night, for reasons unknown, I got my MB 144 out and filled it with (gasp!) Noodler's El Lawrence, and ink I haven't had the best of luck with. Yet, so far, no problems out of the MB. We'll see...

Levenger TrueWriter, Fireball Demonstrator, with it's new medium nib and Quink black. Charcoal Lamy Safari with medium nib and Quink black.

I know, "same ink in both?" At least I've got two pens inked right now!

I found a Mertz & Krell Pelikan 120 to replace my old original . . . It is mint condition, seems new, and I have the EF, F, M, OM, and B nibs for it.

Pelikan has a current multiple nib pen, but the nibs retail for over $200 each.

The piston filled the reservoir with Schaeffer brown ink . . . enjoying the B nib . . .

Also got in a Parker Vector with an F nib for porous paper. Nice pen . . . works flawlessly.

Today I am rather fond of my pilot Custom 823 with xxxf Falcon flex nib filled with Noodler's Bulletproof Black. I am loving the line control that this pen is giving me. It takes an even lighter pressure on the downstrokes than I am accustomed to, but to me this is a good thing as I have been trying for years to achieve the most subtle shading and this nib is guiding my hand just wonderfully.

Danitrio Silver Wave, flexible stub nib, Herbin Bleu Pervenche.

Bexley Americana, stub nib, Dragon's Napalm.

Pelikan M450 Tortoise and Gold, Binder music nib, Noodler's Golden Brown.

Today I carried a matched pair of Wing Sung 230 to work, one with Noodler's Black and one with Noodler's Brown; tonight I'll most likely use the newly arrived Wing Sung 233 (already becoming a favorite) to write my journal entry.

Does not always write loving messages.

Does not always foot up columns correctly.

Does not always sign big checks.

Inked up a Wing Sung 239 and a Classic 708 today. Have seven FPs inked.

I use a Columbus Progetto M (black ink) daily as the FP of choice with a Laban Ment Tortoise Shell F as backup (blue ink).
