Got to work, and my Wing Sung 230 turned out to be out of Noodler's Black -- well, that's why I carry a second pen; the Huashilai 2375 (Noodler's Luxury Blue) stood in nicely for the crosswords. For tonight's journal, I'll probably use either my P51 Vac (PR Ebony Blue) or a dip pen with my homemade iron-gall blue-black.

Does not always write loving messages.

Does not always foot up columns correctly.

Does not always sign big checks.

I am using my Pelikan Pelikano, Bexley Simplicity, and Parker "51" today. We will see what happens tomorrow.

I addressed two Priority Mail boxes this morning with the 1937 green Pelikan 100 (OM nib, filled with Waterman Florida Blue) before cleaning it and shipping it to California.

I wrote notes to go in the boxes with the pens that had been sold with a charcoal Lamy Safari (F nib, filled with Private Reserve Tanzanite).

Journal writing and work was done today with these three:

1928 cardinal red Parker Duofold Jr. (F nib, filled with Waterman Blue Black)

1950s black Geha Schulfüller (semi-flex F nib, filled with Duke Blue)

red auroloide Aurora Optima (M nib, filled with Diamine Majestic Blue)

Plain blue vintage Eversharp Skyline lever filler, inked with Diamine Teal for the semi-flex fine nib. Nice. Just really nice - a true writing machine.

Today's pocket arsenal: My late 80s Pelikan 400 with vintage Sheaffer Blue-Black, a plunger-fill Eversharp Doric in Jet with vintage Parker Royal Blue Quink, and a jade Eversharp Equipoise with Diamine Dark Green ink.

The two Eversharps came my way at last year's Columbus show. Maybe I'm just feeling wishful, and wishing I could go.......
