Three pens in the rotation right now:

Conway Stewart 286 (1940s?) in marbled green, with Parker's Blue-Black;

Waterman's 52 1927 (it is engraved on the pen), with PR Tanzanite;

Esterbrook SJ (1950s?), blue pearl, with Waterman's Green.

Today, I'm using my Black Pelikan m805 with a fine nib that was smoothed by Deb Kinney. She did wonders with this nib, which was originally quite scratchy in one direction. It's officially the best writer I've got at the moment ("at the moment" because I have a big box from Richard shipping tomorrow :D ).

I lately use for everyday writting a fine nibbed black Noblesse Oblige of Mont Blanc, which is okay for keeping notes and writting on smooth non-glossy papers. I just quit from my several Parker Frontiers, and I find the MB very solid and lovely to use.

Ah, I hate paper like that! I've had good luck with a soggy little fire hose like my Pelikan Go!, though.

Just inked a bunch of things. In use today for some overdue snails were:

Legacy II with Waterman Blue-Black

Lamy Safari with Noodler's Shah's Rose

Pelikan Go! with Diamine Emerald

Esterbrook 9048 with Noodler's Walnut

Pel 150 with Noodler's Ottoman Rose

Phileas F with a new moss green mix (Diamine Emerald & Noodler's Golden Brown 4:1)

and the usual Mottishaw Falcon w/Aircorps Blue-Black and .6mm stub Dani $27 with Red-Black, for the wild hair project.

Isn't sanity really a one-trick pony, anyway? I mean, all you get is one trick, rational thinking! But when you're good and crazy . . . ooh hoo hoo hoo! . . . the sky's the limit!

Today the pen of choice was my Pelikan m605. The nib on this pen is a narrow stub, so it works well for normal, everyday writing. My Namiki VP was also present in the pen case, but it just seemed like a good day to be using the Pelikan. :)

My Pelikan m605. (Pardon the funny colors in the photo. That pen is actually a very pretty dark blue color.)

Today I've written with my Waterman fountain pen for the very first time.

I just bought it less than a hour ago (!) Gosh, I didn't want to spent so much (I'm still a poor student you see), but I couldn't let go of this particular pen... It's a Hémisphère Waterman in blue.

I think I'll have to eat beans and pancakes this month.

Well here it is..

Looks like the same nib as the one on my Apostrophe. If it's just as nice as mine or better you must be very happy with it. Your grip looks more comfortable.

Congrats on the new pen. Hope you enjoy it a lot! :)

Oh, I'm afraid I bought the Hémisphère pen for far too much Euro's. Online is cheaper, but I wanted to feel the pens first and try some out. You are very fond of Waterman fountainpens I presume?

Today I've written with it again and must say, that I have to get use to the nib. I had a Waterman before with a medium nib I think.

Just one for tomorrow... my Mont Blanc Generation Rollerball I have carried in my suit for the past year has now been replaced.

My latest ebay purchase arrived today, a blue section Parker 25 Flighter - loaded with Waterman Florida Blue. This will now be my daily user / carry pen.

This pen reminds me of my school days, and feels so retro B)

Wonder whether I should get some PR Supershow DC Blue for it or stick with my Waterman ink??? Decisions, Decisions

Yeah!!!

Parker 25... that takes me back! I've been looking at these lately on Ebay - fancy having one again after all these years. Great for daily use. Do they write as smoothly as I remember? For a relatively inexpensive pen, I seem to recall that they were buttery smooth (at least mine was)!

Incidentally, will they take the modern Parker piston converter?

Bernie.

Today, it was the following:

Old Faithful, the Lamy Flame, for a little moleskinerie and general notetaking, and my Waterman that still has yet to be ID'd (although I'm Googling away as we speak), for some sales and marketing free-writing.

I forgot how much I like this Waterman!

You might have paid a lot but at least you got good warrently now. I'm not too happy with Waterman pens. Got three and two were defective (and 1 very scratchy, but was a cheap pen.) when I got them. Got an exchange on both of them but one is still giving me grief. That's the one I bought on ebay for half price but I've got no-where to go to help me with that pen. It's not possible to send it directly to waterman.

Your nib should be smooth and working well. maybe not as smooth as a medium nib but still smooth. What nibsize do you have? F?

If you draw a circle on paper it should be equally smooth in all directions.

Yesterday it was a 1910 BCHR Onoto with a double broad slight flex nib....very sweet writer.

Today I'm back to my most prised Parker 51 cordovan DJ with its medium stub nib - this pen is always in my rotation.....I really love this pen...

I'm also using a 1920's Sheaffer 3-25 flat top, the orange model which is often mistaken for RHR, it has mint trim with zero wear and a firm fine nib, I use this pen for idea/brain storming quick design sketching....
