Today's pen is a Pelikan M620 San Fransisco with a medium nib loaded up with Diamine Blue Black.

Today at work I used an old Parker Sonnet with Quink black ink. I haven't used it for a long time and I had forgotten how well it writes.

In keeping with the spirit of The Great Cheap Pen Giveaway I'm inking and testing a pen a day to see whether it's a keeper. This time it is; a hand-turned largish pen with wooden barrel and wet smooth nib. If I leave it unposted it's not too heavy for me.

The ink is a mix of Herbin Vert Empire, and Levenger Gemstone Green, and a couple of other assorted greens. It came out a nice sober greeny-black.

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

I carried my mint green Esterbrook J (PR Ebony Green ink), with Dollar 717i (also PR Ebony Green) as backup, while I was out shopping for groceries and sundries; my numberless Hero (possibly a 187, has a semi-flex nib) with Noodler's Standard Brown for updating my checkbook register. Tonight I'll probably use my Wearever (uncertain model identification, but probably some version of a Supreme) with Noodler's Luxury Blue for my journal and spend some time practicing with a Hunt 513 dip pen and either Noodler's Brown or Bulletproof Black (my India ink seems a little viscous for this nib).

Does not always write loving messages.

Does not always foot up columns correctly.

Does not always sign big checks.
