Started the week, tuesday morning, with only two pens with ink. Have been expecting two other pens from restoration. Got them late this afternoon.

In the meantime, filled another pen during the day tuesday and stuck with three pens since the beginning of the week, but mostly using two :

  • Sheaffer Valiant, medium nib, with Private Reserve Cherry Black
  • Edacoto (from the 30s), wonderful fine nib, with vintage Sheaffer Purple. This one is the best performer overall, with all sorts of paper.

Yesterday I wrote checks to pay August bills with a charcoal Lamy Safari filled with Private Reserve Tanzanite, and did regular writing with a 1926 cardinal red Parker Duofold Jr. filled with Doctor Blue.

Today will likely be a one pen day (unusual for me), as I have a desire to spend more time with my red auroloide Aurora Optima filled with Diamine Majestic Blue.

They are all used each week. I may consider to use less, but it's too hard to choose :/

Still seriously digging my new / old Sheaffer Imperial 444. Found an old, forgotten bottle of of Skrip blue-black to complement it . Great everyday pen. Supplemented by the sweet little xf Pilot Elite from speerbob. Two great pens, less than $20 each--my idea of heaven!

So far today, I've used my Dollar 717i for updating the grocery list, and my Huashilai 2375 to fill in the checkbook. Later, I'll be using my Esterbrook J and my Hero with no model number (with the flexible nib) for writing and journal.

Does not always write loving messages.

Does not always foot up columns correctly.

Does not always sign big checks.

I'm going to use my auto-restored Eversharp Skyline with Pelikan Royal Blue all day and hopefully I'll get some scan to attach to my review!

My A&W Marquis for writing a letter. Later, I'll probably use my "new" black Sheaffer cartridge pen for other miscellaneous writing. Need to use the Canadian and the Mono pen from Latvia this evening or tomorrow. The Canadian pen is actually German manufactured with a very fine nib that I like to use for transcribing favorite poems into a blank book and writing post cards.
