I addressed envelopes this morning with my 1931 burgundy Parker Duofold Jr. which is filled with a homebrew burgundy mix.

The letters were written with my sapphire Namiki Impressions which is filled with Aurora Blue.

I wrote a check with my Lamy Safari which is filled with Private Reserve Tanzanite.

I did my morning journal entry with a 1997 pearl and black Parker Duofold which is filled with a Parker Penman Sapphire Waterman South Sea Blue mix.

All afternoon I took study notes with an old style blue marbled Waterman Phileas which is filled with a mix of Waterman Florida Blue and Purple. This pen really is comfortable for hours of writing.

So far today, I've used my Husahilai 2375 (PR Velvet Black cart) to update my checkbook, but later I'll be using my Esterbrook J (2556 nib, PR Ebony Green) for journaling and story writing.

Does not always write loving messages.

Does not always foot up columns correctly.

Does not always sign big checks.

Sheaffer viewpoint broad italic with Noodler's Coral Sea blue. Seriously, I don't think I've seen a prettier line on paper.

Did all my writing work this morning with a 1950s Geha Schulfüller. It is a plain black piston fill school pen with a very nice semi-flex steel nib I got in a trade back in 2000. It is filled with a 6:1 mix of Pelikan Turquoise and Private Reserve Sherwood Green.

Blue carbonesque Pilot VP with Omas blue ink yesterday and today.

Used a navy blue Pelikan Future most of the past week. It's filled with Iroshizuku syo-ru ink from Pilot. I've also been using a vintage-looking blue Sheaffer no-nonsense filled with Havana brown.

For tonight's journal I'll be using my freshly repaired Wing Sung 230 (tiny, but much more comfortable than the size would suggest, and a nice smooth writer since I cleaned up the feed and slit while I had them out to solvent weld the cracked section).

Does not always write loving messages.

Does not always foot up columns correctly.

Does not always sign big checks.

I've been mainly using four pens for the past week:

  • A British-made Parker 51, first semester 1948, black body, silver cap, filled with Noodler's Black
  • A blue Esterbrook L J, 1555 nib, same ink as above
  • A Wearever Pennant, filled with Private Reserve Black Cherry -- just love the colour of that ink
  • A Matador, French-made, from the thirties, fine nib that needs getting used to..., filled with vintage Sheaffer Permanent Royal Blue

Today I'll be carrying my Wing Sung 230 (F, PR Ebony Green) and Huashilai 2375 (F, PR Velvet Black cartridge) to work; after work, I'll most likely be using my Esterbrook J (2556 nib "firm fine, general writing", PR Ebony Green) and one or the other of my Hero 70 (M, PR Ebony Blue or Ebony Green).

Does not always write loving messages.

Does not always foot up columns correctly.

Does not always sign big checks.

My Waterman LeMan 200 with cursive italic nib seems to kinda "hop" into my shirt pocket regardless! It just feels right!

Reform 1745 with Waterman Florida Blue for writing up some notes tonight... A bit scratchy on the notebook paper I've got here, which isn't exactly pristine. Was using my Lamy 2000 a few pages back, much nicer... The little reform is one of two pens I prefer writing with the cap posted- the other being my Pilot Birdie.

Wrote out the nameless pink pen yesterday. Today it's a little bit of Rouge Opera remaining in my pink Rotring ArtPen.

After that I'll have just five pens inked! O_O

But I'm not really sticking with my desire to have a different color ink in each (there was a thread elsewhere about Your Five Inks):

Black (none at the moment! o noes!)

Blue (Blue Sheaffer NN, Shea BB)

Red/Pink (the ArtPen)

Green (Green Hero 366, Herbin Lierre Sauvage)

Brown/Gold (none!)

*and maybe gray...*

This must change when my ArtPen gets written out!

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

I pulled out my Montegrappa Genio Strad today to practice more fluently with a larger grip pen. Filled with my favorite PR Ebony Green. Anticipating both the MB green-striated and, after Marcos' review, the still-hankered-for MB 149.(Any year now!! )
