What Pens Are You Using Today?

Today for work 2 Waterman's, one green (broad) and one red (med.) each with their own matching Waterman ink. (I'm marking up resumes.) They are among my earliest purchases. I think they are Hemispheres. They have the identical shapes, rings and clips, although I mostly see these in black only now. Although the nibs have the Waterman engraved mark, they are not labeled 14K so I think they are brass. But they write like gold!

I'll be taking my usual work pens: Huashilai 2375 (PR Velvet Black cartridge) for the crosswords, and Hero 257 (PR Ebony Blue) for everything else.

Does not always write loving messages.

Does not always foot up columns correctly.

Does not always sign big checks.

Using one of my Reform 1745s loaded with Florida Blue today- the tines are slightly misaligned, which is making it a bit scratchy and I cannot get it to sit right, it's a little annoying!

Tomorrow, my super-smooth and reliable Lamy 2000 with Noodler's Coral Sea blue. I'll bring a Vision Elite rollerball in case I have to sign any credit slips, shopkeepers tend to freak out at any inks that have a tinge of green in them :P

Having written out a couple of pens, and abandoned a couple of others, today I switched an unknown brand bubble-gum pink cart into a no-name bubble-gum pink pen with a translucent, rubbery barrel and cap.

It's a surprisingly nice, smooth writer--perfect for letters and editing.

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

The Pilot Varsity and V thread made me dig up my disposables, but alas only my Pilot purple was found.

So I also brought in my yellow Pilot Custom 98 w/Pilot cart-green.

I'll have fun during work by comparing the writing qualities of the disposable vs. the 98. Be still my excited heart! :P

in the age of flu epidemics, i have to wipe my fp with alcohol frequently. i choose the lamy 2000 extrafine nib for this job. its reinforced fibre-glass makrolon can withstand abrusive effect well enough.

Off I go to pick up my Huashilai 2375 (PR Velvet Black cart) and Hero 257 (PR Ebony Blue) for work. They're starting to get the paint beat up, but they still feel good and write very, very well.

I'm playing with my brand new Hero 360 and brand new bottle of BSB! A bright blue pen for a bright blue ink! If only they were the same shade of blue...

My blue Pilot VP Decimo, fine point, filled with Diamine Steel Blue (a wonderful, smooth experience, by the way), is my everyday work-horse

Sailor 1911, extra fine point, filled with Diamine Sepia is my second choice.

Today, I feel more like writing with the Sailor.

Day off from work, so I'll be using my Esterbrook J (PR Ebony Green), my in-testing Osmiroid 75 (testing both the pen-safety of an ink -- carbon black ink jet refill -- and a solvent weld repair of a cracked section), and probably my Dollar 717i (PR Ebony Blue).
