Loving my Lamy 2000 today (actually all week so far) - I also use a broad nib with it.

Loving the FPN also as a newbie.

Started out with my black streamline Duo Sr and a Jade Sr Sheaffer Flattop, but when all MB this evening. Now using my MB Boheme (ruby clip), a Classique BP and RB. (Have to say the RB is getting more of a workout, just for some quick notes.)

Today's pen is a late 1950s Aurora 88P with a gold filled cap loaded up with, wait for it, Aurora black. I am trying the storied black ink for a change, blue is still my go to colour.

Greetings, I have not one clue as to how to use this site but I am going to try. I am realizing now that I know less about FPN and how to use it today, than when I first discovered the site. I am going to attempt to review a pen I just acquired and I hope it goes out to somebody....here goes! I recently ordered from a pen shop website out of the country, a Pelikan Style Collection Fountain Pen. I have never seen this pen before....anywhere. It costs a total of $11.00 and writes like a Montblanc Meisterstuck. I've never seen anything quite like this pen. It is a gray soft rubbery material, with accents in hard plastic either in red, blue or black. It appears to be one of the most durable pens I've seen. It has a steel nib and comes only in a medium. Mine has a big red substancial clip and a window in the barrel to check the ink level. A Pelikan logo symbol adorns the top of the cap. The pen posts perfectly, the cap fitting on the heal of the barrel very snugly! I have a Pelikan ink cartridge in mine but I would assume it would accept a Pelikan ink converter. This pen, although it has quite a bit of gerth, fits well in the hand and lays a wet, buttery line, never hesitating or skipping. The nib is polished chrome and has a flat top as opposed to the normal rounded nib. The section grip has five slits in the rubber part, that assist in a good grip. The pen measures out 5 3/8 inch closed and 6 1/4 inch posted. The fountain pen does not have a opulent look but does not look cheap either. Just a nice sporty appearance. I do own and operate a small home- based pen sales shop but I have few Pelikans in my inventory but not many due to the expense of stocking them, so I am not working for Pelikan but for the price of $11.00, you can't beat this simple fountain pen! I would venture to say that if the pen is well cared for, it would last anyone a lifetime!

For the long weekend, I packed my Pelikan M200 with its modified Oblique Broad nib, loaded with Noodler's Ottoman Azure; my Lamy Al-Star (the green anodized one) with a converter full of Noodler's Hunter Green through their 1.1 Calligraphy nib and also my Cross ATX Fine with Cross' excellent Blue/Black. I'm good to go.
