Mostly outside work today. I changed the oil and rotated tires on my car, after a couple hours on the tennis court.

I did journal this morning before anyone else in the house was awake with my black 1924 Sheaffer Flat Top (filled with Aurora Black) and my charcoal Lamy Safari (filled with Private Reserve Tanzanite).

Oh yeah, I also wrote some checks this afternoon with the Lamy.

A black one.

With some blue ink.

Two cheap and small:

-Parker 15 medium nib, refilled cartridge with Parker Super Quinq Black. The pen is so small that no Parker converter fit inside de barrel.

-Pelikan M100 (made in W. Germany) fine nib with Parker Super Quinq Royal Blue

Both inks with Solv. X.

Any ideas on a Dixon Milemaster Ball Pen as far as a date. I have a coupon for it on a Ticonderoga pencil box, but no dates. Thanks

I took four pens with me as my son and I did our first round of out of town college visits the past few days:

1924 RHR Parker Duofold Jr. filled with Doctor Blue

1997 pearl & black Parker Duofold filled with a 1:1 mix of Parker Penman Sapphire/Waterman South Sea Blue

black Aurora 88 (modern piston fill model) filled with Private Reserve D. C. Supershow Blue

blue stripe Pelikan 800 filled with Visconti Blue

I noticed my son was doing environmental science homework this afternoon with an old style blue marbled Waterman Phileas filled with Private Reserve Spearmint (at least I think that's the green ink he has loaded in it).

Black Streamlined Parker Duofold Sr. with a fine Arrow nib. Using Parker Royal Blue ink.

I don't think it gets any better than that.

Did the crosswords in the paper with my Dollar 717i, PR Ebony Blue. Later, I'll be journaling with my Yafa Cartridge Pen, currently with Foray black cartridge, probably chasing with the green cart that came with the pen, if I write enough.

Does not always write loving messages.

Does not always foot up columns correctly.

Does not always sign big checks.
