What Pens Are You Using Today?

And I've already changed.

Sitting here, writing a journal entry with a Stratford Magnetic. I'd had Noodler's Borealis Black in the pen, but it was always a bit stubborn about writing. So, this evening, I flushed it and refilled it with Quink black. Writes like a dream.

This whole ink choice thing is getting to be more and more of a struggle... :hmm1:

"Here was a man who had said, with his wan smile, that once he realized that he would never be a protagonist, he decided to become, instead, an intelligent spectator, for there was no point in writing without serious motivation." - Casaubon referring to Belbo, Foucault's Pendulum.

New to the thread and to FPs. Today, I used 4 of my 5 pens, Lamy Safari - EF - Lamy Black, Lamy Al Star - F - Lamy Blue, Reform 1745 - F - Noodlers Green Marine and Reform 1745 - EF - Sailor's Jentle Black. The EF 1745 doesn't really like the Sailor's, so will flush and re-ink tomorrow with something else.

Lamy pico B point

and 4 Office Depot No.2 pencils barely sharp enough to scratch out a line

Used my Pelikan M600 (red stripe) with F nib today for text writing. Filled with pelikan black.

And both my Rotring Artpens (F and M nib) for drawing and quick notes. The M with black ink and the F with brilliant ink.

Just bought a Lamy Studio stainless steel, Extra Fine point, at Fahrney's while visiting in Washington DC. Of course using it right away, filled it with Waterman Florida blue. What a great writer! I didn't know an extra fine could write so smoothly and so wet. And a pretty good price.

To me, the pen is very reminiscent of the Lamy 2000 limited edition in stainless steel both in size and shape. Obviously the nib, fill and clip are very different, still very attractive.

Sheaffer Imperial with an S shaped nib - and Noodler's black - fantastic writer, although it makes me write fairly slowly and small compared to my usual.

Most of my posts are edited - it's because I'm a sloppy typist.
