A bottle of tsuki-yo (moonlight) and a bottle of yama-budo (wild grape) were waiting for me when I arrived home in the snow at lunchtime today. They had been sent by engelka on Wed 28 Jan and arrived in the UK on Mon 2 Feb.

So I have filled my Danitrio Mikado (flex stub nib) with the yama-budo.

It is a lovely rich red with a very slight dark line around the edge. I am delighted with it.

Main pen is a Sheaffer desk pen but as I have had a Waterman Champion 501 and a 60s Conway Stewart in the post this morning they are also having a drive out, unusual semi itallic on the CS, particularly for an inexpensive pen.

All have MB Forest Green

I had a site visit today and knew that I would be taking lots of notes, so today's pens are:

- Lamy Safari in charcoal gray with extra fine nib, loaded with P.R. Sonic Blue. Worked flawlessly.

- Parker 45 in black with Accountant needle..uh..I mean nib, loaded with Noodler's Black. This combo doesn't work very well at all! I end up with a hair-thin line that skips, scratches and perversely seems to take forever to dry. I will have to flush this one out and try again.

I had a site visit too, and I took my new Esterbrook Copper along for the ride. A very smooth writer!

I'm Andy H and I approved this message.
