All Parkers, also. I just received three Sonnets to study and try to figger out the "Sonnet Syndrome" on them. So far, no news - they seem to work fine, with either 18k or steel nibs. Stay tuned...

Sleep with one eye open and a baseball bat nearby, they are devious little blighters.

I have been mostly with my MBs 146 the last couple of weeks:

- Burgundy, Broad nib, with MB Bordeaux ink (the more I use this combination the more I love it)

- Platinum trim, Extra fine nib, with Waterman Blue-Black

- Gold trim, fine nib, with Montblanc Royal Blue.

And also a Cross Century red/black lacquer with Waterman Red, and a Hero 330

green, with Noodler's Squeteague.

Whatever's "Sonnet Syndrome"? I've not heard of that one.

Just prepared my new week work pens:

- Parker 21; Pilot Black

- Marlen Journal; PR Sonic Blue

And for the red: I decided to start using my Pilot V-Pen. It's now more than a year old, and I am afraid it will start to stick/clog if not used.

Cheers,

Danitrio Raw Ebonite Densho (Stub)

Parker Duofold International (No. 87 Med Oblique)

Lamy Vista (1.1 mm Italic)

Waterman Edson (OGL)

Pelikan M600 (Crisp Italic)

I was in a meeting where we were all given a cheap ballpoint and notepad (which I politely declined), the woman sitting next to me kept looking at the notes I was making on my Rhodia pad and the fountain pen I was using, every time she looked away I swapped the pen over.

I am very easily amused...

Just bought my first fountain pen, well first 3 actually, on Saturday.

Bought a Faber Castell Ambition M, Retro 51 Scripmaster Series II F, and a Retro 51 Tornado F.

I got a pretty good deal on them. 50% off the Scripmaster, 40% off the Tornado, and 30% off the Ambition!

Welcome Dannzeman, the way those discount rates were headed if you had bought four more you would have been paying 10% over list for the final one!

It's a good first set, have a look around the forum and make yourself at home...

Today I have on the desk at work:

A near new condition vintage Aurora 88K with a lined gold filled cap and a flexy fine nib full of blue Quink. I am always mystified as to how they get the flex into a semi hooded nib?

A dove grey English Parker '51' with a wet medium nib and a lustraloy cap. An unassuming pen which allows me to write quickly. Also has guts of steel into which I am happy pour dangerous inks like today's Penman Ruby.
