On the toad for the next 2 weeks so I'll be carrying the same pens (hopefully I've chosen wisely)

Hero 100 stainless steel <F> Noodler's Baystate Blue

Kumiai eyedropper, 1930's vintage, Urushi over black ebonite <F-wet noodle> Noodler's Red-Black

I have to say that the Red-Black ink gives amazing shading with this wet-noodle nib. This ink was a favorite, and it is an even better performer combined with this ink.

I now have 4 pens inked...here we go again.

Both of these are hand turned and are a pleasure to use.

The top pen is from OldGriz and it is filled with my own "red" mixture.

The bottom pen is filled with PR American Blue.

I was using a Lamy Safari (black, medium nib) at work, and scribbled some notes when I got in with my Waterman Expert II (matt black, another medium). I think I'll stick with the latter if I need to write anything else by hand tonight: it's a good pen and I fear it's feeling neglected.

Today, I'm hand-editing a piece and making notes, alternating with my teal Rotring 1.1 ArtPen filled with J Herbin Diabolo Menthe, and the blue-black Plat Preppy.

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

I'm at work with my new Aurora Talentum. It's the D11/A model, celeste color, rodium trim, 14k medium nib.

Filled with Aurora Blue (purchased on saturday at a Treviso shop, Marton Regalo. They didn't have the black I was looking for originally...) in the Aurora Converter.

I am satisfied, the medium nib is finer than german/italian standard and has a lot of feedback.

Ciao!

Andre

Is that one of the current 45s or a vintage one? I've been thinking of getting one of the current models as they look a very nice pen for the money, and I'm assuming a lot better than my Vector or Frontier.

(The Frontier, actually, is great. The Vector, far less so.)

Two Parker 45 "Refresh" Flighters, recently bought. Both have steel nibs-one is labled medium, beautifully smooth, but actually more like a broad (which suits me fine), and one has a an Oblique broad exchanged for me in the shop- TJ Sharp of Perth, Australia. This nib has great line variation with a tiny bit of 'tooth', and was an exchange nib they still had as new old stock from years ago... great fun!

To complete the nostalgic experience- my first 'real' pen at school was a 45 Arrow (the one with the plastic cap) in Teal Blue- I've filled both wioth Royal Blue Quink.
