What Pens Are You Using Today?

Hi Guys,

ive just found the forum and heres my first post!

the pens i use every day at work are as follows:

living permanently in my desk at work are: 3 parker jotters red, black and blue barrels with corresponding red, black and blue gel refills.

2 parker vector fountains with red and orange inks and 1 parker frontier filled with yellow ink. nothing special but my office hacks and nicer than the standard office issue bics.

travelling to and from work with me every day in my bag are 2 rolled gold converging lines capped parker 51 aeros, one blue-green, the other grey, with medium and broad nibs.

in my shirt pocket lives a mont blanc starwalker metrub ballpen and a new pilot capless retractable fountain pen which i picked up yesterday and am very happy with. the 14k nib is beautifully smooth and flexible.

i change pens constantly through the day depending on what colour i need and what sort of writing im doing. finer nibs for filling out forms, broader for scrawling quick notes when on the phone etc. or just having too many pens and looking for an excuse to use them :P

looking forward to exploring the forum!

cheers,

Paolo.

I've been using the same three pens since I arrived at Truck Driving school here in Kentucky:

A Black Parker "51" Aero with GF cap,

A Hero 100 Flighter

My Parker Sr. Duofold "Big Red"

The Hero and Big Red are filled with Quink Black, and the "51" with Quink Blue-Black

Drool! Slobber! Drool! Very nice, Sid.

Although I have about 20 inked pens of all sorts within reach, actually in my shirt pocket today are:

Parker "51" (Sterling/Cedar Blue) vacumatic fine point with Waterman Blue-Black

Bexley 10th Anniversary (Lime) broad stub with Noodler's Sequoia

Mainly a Lamy 2000 fine nib with Lamy Blue ink. In the jacket I'm carrying a midnight blue Parker "51" with a gold cap, fine-med nib and Quink Black. I'm enjoying having two colours for different jobs at work. :)

Today I'll use:

Cross Radiance with med nib and Pelikan Black,

Mont Blanc Generation ball pen,

Mentmore Supreme fine with Tanzenite

All Black-

And I'll play Johnny Cash, Live at San Quentin/Folsom Prison on the stereo.

Now why is that? ;)

We just let him slip away

Out of kindness, I suppose.'"

My standard carry pens are an Otho and a Pelikan Level 65, both loaded with black ink. The Otho uses short International cartridges and the Level holds a large quanity of ink. Many times a third pen in green, purple or turquoise is carried as I need to draw attention to details in sketches I do.

I'm starting with my Pelikan M400 White Tortoise with a fine nib and Diamine Presidential Blue. I'll probably use my Montblanc 144 with a medium nib and Montblanc Racing Green ink today, too.

Enjoy the 4th!

Isn't sanity really a one-trick pony, anyway? I mean, all you get is one trick, rational thinking! But when you're good and crazy . . . ooh hoo hoo hoo! . . . the sky's the limit!
