Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

Pelikan M400 Honey with a 2:5 mix of Diamine Yellow and Diamine Mediterranean Blue for History of Math and Linear Algebra.

Visconti Millennium Arc II with Private Reserve Burgundy Mist for Theory of Computation.

Oh, and Sailor Pro Gear with J Herbin scented violet for homework last night. Couldn't help the scent, I was feeling like purple, and it was my only purple ink.

Right now I am using my brand-new (to me, at least!) Waterman Edson LE Sterling Silver with fine nib and Private Reserve Plum ink, my brand-new Sheaffer Snorkel Autograph with fine nib and Sheaffer Skrip Purple, and my Waterman Edson Diamond Black with medium nib and Noodler's Navajo Turquoise ink.

Also inked and ready to go: Montblanc 149 with broad nib, Montblanc William Faulkner with medium nib, Sheaffer Snorkel Valiant with medium nib, Sheaffer TM* Statesman with fine nib, four Sheaffer Legacys with medium nibs and one broad nib (Brushed Copper LE, palladium-finish, copper lacquer, and red lacquer), and a 1945 Parker "51" Vacumatic in cedar blue with sterling silver cap and fine nib.

Oh, and my father's 1958 Parker "51" Special Demi with medium nib...

Today I am using my OMAS 360 with OMAS blue black ink. It feels well in my hand, writing position is always perfect.

Today it's been my Mottishaw'd stub in the VP plus my cool new Delta Via Veneto (in red, with some Visconti red). And a little bit of Kaweco Sport thrown in for good, reliable, lose-able measure.

Still testing the Baystate Blue, but today it's in my Levenger True Writer. BSB didn't seem to like my Levenger Verona, so we'll see how it performs in the TW.

Waterman Carene running Waterman Florida Blue and a Sheaffer Heritage Legacy running Skrip Blue-Black. Gotta love the inlaid nibs :cloud9:

What am I using today?

*Checks trouser-pocket pen-pouch*

1928 Parker Duofold senior two-bander 'big red'.

1949 Parker '51' Flighter.

*Checks inner coat-pocket pen-pouch*

1946 Waterman 502 lever-filler.

2006 Montblanc 145 'Chopin'.

2003 Campo Marzio Minny*

*Nib-smoothing on this pen is ongoing. Results so far have been promising but still needs a bit more work. I have brought it with me today to see just how well it writes on different kinds of paper.

I have a bunch of vintage pens and some fancy ones, but i've decided to use Cores and only Cores outside of the house. I have a loverly Lysium Core with the bigger nib. That's what i am using today.

This week:

Sailor 1911 - Waterman Florida Blue - probably my smoothest nib

Rotring Newton - Diamine Imperial Purple - could be an offensive weapon in the wrong hands

Parker 51 - Parker Quink Blue Washable - beginning to understand what it's all about
