What Pens Are You Using Today?

A green and gold Sheaffer Special Snorkel with Palladian Silver open nib. The sac is still good, but the seals appear to be useless; I fill it up by blowing into the sac cage to collapse the sac, then letting it expand naturally with the tip dipped into the ink. Someday soon I'll need to send it to someone with the parts to fix it, but for now I've got it filled with Waterman's Havana Brown; it writes a fine, controlled line, not as heavy with ink supply as my Parker P51. So now I've got a Snorkel, and I think it's alright!

The moment we want to believe something, we suddenly see all the arguments for it, and become blind to the arguments against it.

Today I'm carrying two pens only; my new Parker Sonnet Crocodile, loaded with Pelikan 4001 blue, and my trustworthy MB #342, filled as always with MB blue/black.

All my pretty little loved ones are sleeping snug in their holders, except the Safari.

I abuse this poor pen.... carry it in my pocket and let my keys scratch it up, write on all sorts of awful surfaces with it (oil covered shop orders - I make a living in manufacturing where boots and earplugs are required), I loan it out to people who exclaim "oooooh is THAT a fountain pen?"

also as usual, it's full of noodler's zhavigo.

Today I took notes all day in class with my Waterman Carene Fine Point. I did also carry my Phileas, but I was lovin the Carene on my new Black and Red notebook way too much to put it down.

Waterman Kultur Demonstrator.

I think it's my most underrated pen. It's a bit of a hard starter (takes a stroke or two), but once it gets going it's lovely.

Quite an array of colors: 50's MB 144 (Noodler's Apache sunset), Wearever black/cream (Noodler's Marine Green), Lamy Vista (La,y blue), 1929 Sheaffer Sr Balance (MB blue), 70s MB 149 (MB Turqoise).

Filling a fountain pen is much more fun than changing a printer cartridge

Today, I used my Bexley BX701 Cappuccino loaded with Noodler's FPN Galileo Manuscript Brown, my green Lamy Al-Star loaded with Noodler's Hunter Green, my lapis trustone pen loaded with Noodler's Luxury Blue, and my black Lamy Studio loaded with Noodler's Polar black. I'm liking this match-the-ink-to-the-pen bit. :D

My pen choices today consist of some of my Sheaffer Legacys: a Sheaffer Legacy in red lacquer and gold-finish cap with Noodler's Saguaro Wine ink, a Sheaffer Legacy 2 in palladium and gold-finish with Noodler's Navajo Turquoise ink, and another Sheaffer Legacy 2 in copper lacquer and gold-finish with Noodler's Kiowa Pecan ink.

Nothing but my favorite smooth-writing Inlaid Nib Sheaffers for today's writing duties!
