I'm excited, because my latest addition (the Galileo) arrived by FedEx today. Currently, I'm using:

  1. Omas Galileo Rollerball
  2. Omas Imagination FP
  3. Visconti Mazzi "Climbing the Space" FP
  4. Visconti Mazzi "Running the Space" FP
  5. Visconti Titanic FP
  6. Visconti Opera Black FP
  7. Visconti Opera Ivory FP
  8. Visconti Van Gogh Midi Black Rollerball
  9. Marlen Shuttle FP
  10. Marlen Eclisse FP

I'm hoping to round out my collection with a Pelikan Caelum pen after finishing grad school in March. Any suggestions regarding other space-themed pens are welcome! I've been keeping an eye on a Krone Apollo 11 FP but I'm not yet ready to invest.

Here's to a terrific '08!

Waterman Phileas - Black w/black ink - Story-drafting.

Parker 45 - Black w/black ink - scribbling/note-taking, diary-entry.

Calligraphy dip-pen - w/black ink - more story-drafting. (I'm doing that right now, actually. By dim desk-light, late at night. It's a nice setting for writing. Dim light, dip-pen scratching over the paper. Shiny black ink, open inkwell a few inches away...it's very old-worldy and relaxing).

Platinum Stainless Armor. I was INSANE lucky and got it for about $30 off ebay. It's an amazing, amazing pen and right not it's using PR Sherwood Green ink, but I'm trying out Noodler's soon.

Visconti Van Gogh in Laguna Verde (the Swisher color). Pretty darn cool.

A pair of vintage Pelikan 400s, one in green stripe with a broad nib, the other in tortoise with double broad. I am using the green for edits and the tortoise for signing letters etc. Both full of Diamine Blue.

Very close to my perfect pens so far as nibs and looks, but not quite wide or long enough.

A pair of Pelikans: an M200, F nib, filled with Diamine blue black, and an M600, XF nib by Richard Binder, filled with Waterman black. This combination helped me get my post-holiday notes and letters out of the way this evening.

A Lamy Safari, my only FP atm. Although it's a great first pen, I am looking for something a bit nicer as I love the fountain pen experience. I'm considering a Pelikan M200 or 215. :)

Sheaffer Balance II, fine point, with Waterman blue ink

Parker Sonnet, medium point, Waterman blue ink -- I have three Sonnets but this one, purchased about 10 years ago, is clearly the best.

I'm having a Parker 51 day -

My fathers 51 Signet which got me into all this problem with collecting pens. A Parker 51 Special medium nib, black barrel gold cap, incredibly smooth and my first 51 Vacumatic.

All with Noodler's Eel Blue ink. The stuff is amazing!

I'm using the Pendemonium go-along eyedropper pen they sent out with Noodler's Legal Lapis 4.5 oz bottle from the end-of-year sale. It works great! But I've got a see-through Sharpie Accent Liquid Highlighter on my desk with almost exactly the same construction, save the felt tip versus nib - it even uses a collector! wild...

Also, brought in a black Esterbrook J, #2668 nib, with Parker Quink Washable Blue - very nice, scuffed up but a perfect writer, and I'm very happy with this 2xxx series nib, it lays down a good line but isn't too wide or wet like the #9668 nib I have.
