Rise and shine. Time for those exercises. Bend elbow..Drink coffee...And repeat as often as necessary. Good morning pen folk. It is going to be such a nice day.

Today I am using the Biggest and ugliest of my Chinese pens, my dragon embellished Namixin. It is just a hoot to use and it does write well.

Good morning, JD! Thanks for reminding me of the exercise, I think I'm ready for round two.

Happy belated birthday, Pakmanpony and ringtop!

JD, have you seen a VERY small dragon pen? I want one

Will be using my Sailor Pro Gear Slim Mini with Blue Black cart, maybe PR Tropical Blue or Sailor Blue when I run out.

The smallest I own is about the size of an M800. Got it from Kevin and it is a Phantas 1 (Dani Trio).

This will give me something to do and I will be more then happy to research it.

Thanks, JD! I would be interested in something M200/400 size or smaller.

Hi all,

I am using:

snorkel touchdown with Noodler's Black

Platignum with the B-2 nib using Noodler's Black

Namiki Vanishing Point, blue with gold trim using Parker Quink blue (looks more blue black)

no name Gel pen with Schneider Gelion 39 4.0 mm (this is a Parker style refill)

Tomorrow, who knows what I will be using? So many pens, not enough pockets to carry them all...smile.

James E. Merritt

Thank you and have a great day!!!

Using my newest acquisition. Omas Paragon with HT trim and a sweet formal italic nib filled with Private Reserve Black Cherry.

When I was fourteen years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned twenty-one, I was astounded how much he had learned in the last seven years.

Montblanc Meisterstuck 145 Chopin wth F nib. Diary-entry.

Using up ink ridiculously fast. Only refilled it last night. Already at least 1/5 empty.

Campo Marzio Minny with F nib. University work.

Swirled it around several hundred times on a piece of paper to smooth out the nib. Now writing in near as-new condition (ie - nice & smooth). I am now reminded why I bought this pen in the first place!! Yay!

My goodness, are we trying to set a record for the longest thread in history here? Haha.

Today's main pen is the same pen as every other day:

1950's Sheaffer school pen, medium 305 nib, eyedropper filled with Noodlers Bulletproof Black.

The link above will lead to several other photos of my collection of "used every day" pens, but the one in the photo above is what you'll find in my hand almost all of the time. Writes smooth, never fails, never skips, never misbehaves in any way.

Today I am using a Pilot Custom 823, broad nib with Parker blue/black Quink and a black Lamy 27n with a rolled gold cap, broad oblique nib and Noodler's Zhivago.

These Lamy 27n nibs are very very smooth. Two random ebay purchases and two winners.

This afternoon I am using my brand-new, still with the nib-size tag, Snorkel TM in burgundy that I just won on eBay. I have to use it by dipping, the sac needs replacing, but otherwise it is just about perfect, add in the price I got it for and it hits that point easily. $32, woohoo! Very smooth nib, medium, I would have preferred a fine but medium is quite usable since it is a bit on the finer side of medium.

I did disassemble most of it to check out the sac, it has hardened up enough to be very stiff, which on the air-pressure operated Snorkel pretty much puts the kibosh to it working. Still not too bad for a pen that has not been touched in something like 60 years.

The seller did not know much about pens, but gave lots of info and good pictures, after the win I found his communication to be very good, shipping was super fast, (and his wife packed it up probably as well as any I have received from all but the PENguin, whose package probably could have stood off a rampaging and PO’ed elephant).

neilbrosant gets a dozen thumbs up from me for his part in this auction.
