May I join in your happy group? I look at this forum (nosy thing I am) but haven't really posted, not that I can remember.

Of course!

Good luck with the MB piston...

I finally got around to breaking out the last of the pens I acquired at the DC show, and it's in the Piquadro now. This one is a Waterman 01856 that Howard Levy brought to me at the DC show this past August, saying that it needed to be mine. He was right. It's a lovely pen. And the nib, oh, the nib. It's a wet-noodle left-foot oblique stub that does wonderful things without my even having to work at it. Just think it, and it's there. Nice!

Today pen is my Parker 51 Special from the fifties, a gift from my father: he bought it in New York and this pen is still working and writing like a new one... Perfection. ;)

Greetings from the Valley of the Sun, where the temperature, not yet near its high for the day, is a brisk 95 degrees.

My purple Kultur, as well as my daughter's Lamy Smile and Online pens, have been emptied and cleaned out. This leaves the Royal Violet Carene, the MB146 and my Enzo Varini.

The EV gets the most use these days, because I can carry it around with me worry-free. As of yet, no one has commented on my use of a fountain pen in public; people are either too apathetic to notice, or they're thinking, "Is that some sort of insect that bleeds onto paper? How disgusting. I hope she finishes and leaves soon."

A Blue Marbled Waterman rollerball I picked up at the Michigan Pen Show. Not sure yet what model this is (I should have asked the seller). It's definitely not a Phileas or Kultur. Appears to be laque over metal. A nice pen.

Regards,

Ray

Today I've been using a Parker Sonnet Cisele (fine nib) and a Parker 21 with an extra fine nib. I haven't inked the Sonnet in a while and had forgotten what a nice nib it has.
