What Pens Are You Using Today?

Today, I will be/am using my Pelikan M405 with my new Pelikan ink which arrived this morning.

I have to say, it works far better with the Pelikan than the Quink I was previously using. The line is finer now, which is a relief, flow is just as good: my enjoyment of this pen has now doubled to be almost on par with my Sapporo! :)

Recently rehabbed Accurate c 1935 with Washable Blue Quink. I have yet to find out much about this comapny. The barrel and cap are cream celluloid, with a painted overlay that is supposed to make you think of marble.

After 6 weeks of work in a great american city, this european student decided that it is time for a little shopping...fountain pen shopping that is.So i began with an online order for a Pilot Prera. This pen is without a doubt a wonder, from all points of view.It is quite inexpensive, but without having a cheap look.More than that ,it is a pen with style. The nib is excelent, very smooth, very fine, the finest i have so far. More on that on a soon to come Prera review...

But that was not enough...on one of my few days off,I walked into a FP store with the intention of buying a Lamy 2000 XF nib,but because they didn't have that on stock i made an order for it and i said to myself that i can't walk empty handed from that store. So I asked for a Vanishing Point F nib...not in stock...placed another order, payed another deposit, but still no pen in my hands. Then ,giving in to temptation,I bought a Blue/Black Pelikan 405...a wonder of a pen.It is amazing how the Pelikans have so much class...

And now I am waiting for the other two,to see if all the reviews were right...

So here I am...well over my budget...but now I am hanging out with the big boys :roflmho:

no more AAA fountain pens for me :happyberet:

Waterman Le Man 200 with an extra fine nib. Bought on ebay for a great price. Perfect condition. Using the blue-black cartiages.

I use a fountain pen because one ought, every day at least, to hear a little song, read a good poem, see a fine picture, and, if it were possible, to write a few reasonable words with a fountain pen.

Interesting and ironic placement -- immediately after this thread is a question about flossing a Hero 100, a flighter version of which I am using today. I am also using my Hero 616 maroon, a Pelikan M200 green swirl, a Pelikan Level 65, and a Sheaffer Lifetime Flattop (from Docnib), all with Noodler's la Coleur Royale. No broad (or even medium) lines for me today at the office.

I inked up my big Bexley Celebration (Snowflake pattern, fine nib) earlier and have been using that for most of the day.

Same line-up:

Pilot Custom 743 with FA nib and Pilot blue-black ink.

Green Esterbrook J with 9556 nib and PR Chocolat ink. I wish the body color matched the ink.

Pilot Prera with fine nib and my Namiki blue/Levenger Cobalt/Noodlers blue mix. I love this little pen!

Good morning, everyone! 68F and another rainy day.

Will be using my Mini, of course. All these talks about Prera make me want to fill my Lime Green Prera. Will flush out Silver VP.

Good morning everyone! I'm in visiting in Ohio and I have the ff. pens with me:

Sheaffer Feathertouch TD with Lux Blue

Sheaffer Junior Black & Pearl with Skrip Brown

Waterman Ideal #3 & Quink Black.

I let everyone try to write with them though I was a little worried about it. All pens survived intact.

Father-in-law insists I must have a Parker 51. I assured him one is on the way.:)

Good morning, all. Today I'm starting off with a Bexley Celebration, in the cracked ice finish, filled with Aurora Black. After that, who knows?

My pen of the week is my lovely Wing Sung 233, in mocha (thanks, Norman!), loaded with our own Galileo Manuscript Brown. Both are recent acquisitions. Some Asian nibs are scratchy in my experience, but not this one, it's very smooth and started right up. It's an excellent pen for $15! It might even outperform my Hero 100. Galileo is a nice brown too.

It's 92 here in Raleigh. I can't wait for autumn. Or at least, a good, soaking rain, accompanied by a lovely lightning show.
