What Pens Are You Using Today?

At work, a c1960 Wearever "Taperite." It's the second pen I've rehabbed and I think it is a good idea to take them out for a drive. It hasn't leaked on my shirt yet, which is a good thing. But, in case, I'm using Parker washable blue. It has a tiny nib and lays a thin but adequate line. Not a bad cheapie! :hmm1:

Good morning, everyone! 73F this morning, high will be in upper 80's.

A road trip to SD today, probably won't be using pen much or at all. But will take my Sailor in my purse.

Since the Washington DC SuperShow, I've been carrying the great first-year Hundred Year Pen I picked up there. Nice flex nib, wonderful shape, what's not to like?

And THE "51", of course.

After a long-time love/hate relationship with my Lamy Flame, I decided to re-ink it with Waterman Florida Blue to see how it writes. I'm happy to say that we're once again entering a "love" portion of our relationship. Also re-inked my black Simplicity.

My new light blue Prera with a fine nib loaded with Sailor Black. This pen writes an extremely fine line without being scratchy and the ink is surprisingly very water-resistant.

Green Estie J with 9556 nib loaded with PR Chocolat ink.

Pilot Custom 743 with FA nib (does this stand for Freakin' Awesome?) loaded with Pilot blue-black ink.

Sheaffer vacuum-filled Autograph fine point in the pocket, and the desk fitxture "51" Special medium, both loaded with Pelikan blue-black, which I'm finding in an ink with a pleasant degree of gravitas.

Today I received Kaweco Art Sport Samba. Inked with Herbin Violet Pansee. Nib is a bit too wide for me :crybaby: and I might have it reground. I will use Sailor, too for journaling.

Happy Friday, ev ryone!!

Well, I am using the Kaweco today and it's really growing on me. Maybe the M nib is not bad after all. I had not used Violet Pansee for a long time and had forgotten what a nice color it is. Might need to get a bottle :)

My Sapporo Mini is in use also today.

My Filcao Atlantica, with a .6mm Binderized stub nib. I haven't used it in a while, but it's a very enjoyable pen to use.

Sheaffer 3-25 SC with a sweet semi-flex stub (which I suspect is that way from decades of wear against paper, but I really don't care).

1. Waterman Carene in Royal Violet, Fine nib, filled with PR Tanzanite. This one hasn't made it into the rotation lately but I think it's going to start seeing more action. I decided to ink it up after seeing some of the discussion about the Carene here on FPN. It is an exceptionally smooth, reliable writer.

2. Pelikan M1000, Fine nib, filled with Noodler's Black

3. Lamy Safari, 1.1 Stub nib, filled with Noodler's Blue Black

Pelikan Grand Place (with the medium nib that came with it) and Noodler's Zhivago. The combination is just fabulous! Fat, wet lines with vivid color and awesome shading.
