What Pens Are You Using Today?

I don't post on this thread often because I tend to use the same pen(s) all the time. I just get stuck on them. But last week I got my Namiki Falcon back from Richard Binder. The medium had become too big for my shrinking hand, so I had him grind it to a .5mm cursive italic. Really wonderful. And that's what I've been using...

Wow! nice pen & nice penmanship, Doug.

No joke! I could never write like that in a million years! Without graph paper my handwriting looks like a drunken sailor on a bender trying to head due north! OYE!

Doug, I've been using a same pen everyday for more than a month now and still posts almost everyday

I always enjoy your photo and penmanship!! I wish I could write straight like that on a blank journal. Is that your Old Bishop Blue, or Legal Lapis straight?

...Is that your Old Bishop Blue, or Legal Lapis straight?

The right page is Luxury Blue, and the left page is New Old Bishop Street Blue-Black. When I took the photo this morning, I skipped back a few pages until I found a page where my handwriting wasn't so bad...

art addict, I also flipped back a few pages where there wasn't any embarrassing personal stuff... I hope. The left page comments on a postcard I sent you -- "Maybe Dada isn't Deda -- we'll see."

Don't worry, Doug. All I read was about the Falcon coming back from RB and using Luxury blue ink.:)

Good morning Taki and Pep and every one who is up and pen in hand.

74F, 89% humidity and it is going through the roof. Please, just a small downpour.

After being mauled by all the cookie challenged furry things and escaping to a cup of coffee I have made my choice.

I am going to be using my Lamy with converter newly installed.

Hello all on a rainy and dreary summer Sunday afternoon here in Northern Ireland...

Having done the flush 'n' fill, it seems this week is going to be a 'big pen' week:

Danitrio raw Takumi, flexy F, Diamine Monaco Red (the nice wet nib makes this ink look its very best)

CS Duro, factory fine italic, PR Black Magic Blue (a nice strong colour at home in an edged nib)

My new Pencraft Churchill, Bexley 18k F nib, Diamine WES Imperial Blue

Pencraft is one of our own. It's a gorgeous pen I've just got my hands on, and Brian was a pleasure to deal with throughout. I'm looking forward to reviewing this one.

Nice looking pen. I have one just like it, given to me by a dear fellow FPNer as a gift. It's not in the rotation today as it's being cleaned, but it will likely see ink again shortly as it's got a delightful flex nib!

For the past two weeks I've written with nothing but my Burgundy Parker 45 Fine point with only one fill of Noodlers Burgundy ink. That's 10 pages in my journal and misc writing last week at work. With only a few small notes and scribbles out of my other inked pen a Parker Frontier Flighter with a Parker Penman Sapphire Cartridge in it.

I've had very little time to play with pens the last two weeks. Myself along 114 folks from 5 churches spent a week in San Fernando Mexico and surrounding villages on a medical mission trip. We stayed busy and had a wonderful time helping folks and spreading the Gospel. This week much time was spent at the hospital here at home with my mother having a stroke and wife with kidney stones.

The 45 is running on fumes tonight and I'm pondering what pen/pens to fill for work tomorrow. Ya know, it's really hard to ink up a couple of $200-$300 dollar pens for use next week when you've been immersed in a group of folks that don't earn that much in 2-3 months...

Today, my new Cross Apogee.

What do you think of the Apogee, Penlover? It is on my wish list, but too expensive for me right now.

Ok since I'm posting...so far today I haven't used an FP. I'm going out to buy some inexpensive ones for my daughter, hers skips because it was cheapie, and she's frustrated.

Is a hard question, but I´ll try to answer:

The Cross Apogee is a weigh FP, for me is an important advantage. Maybe is a expensive pen but he worth the price, the nib is amazing, writes very smooth. Is a confortable pen, write is a pleasure.

If I can give you an advice, go to the shop and try write with this FP, also read the reviews in this web, they help a lot.

In my opinion is a excellent pen to start, I´m sure you´ll enjoy it.

If you have more questions about it, don´t hesitate to write me, I´ll (in my bad english) try to answer to all your questions.

Regards !
