ANES001 is heading to Andy today!

I'm looking forward to it but I won't get it till I return from vacation on 7/26.

It is a good reason, though, to come back from tropical paradise!

I wanted to say how enjoyable it was to read everyone's entry in ANES011 online. I'm hoping to get another journal soon!

The journals that I have been sending are Moleskine Cahiers -- similar to the pocket Moleskine notebook, but with only 64 pages and a softcover. They weight very little and are convenient for mailings.

The paper on these journals is terrible, however, and if anyone has a lightweight but equally convenient suggestion, we might want to discuss it.

Also, the idea of the project is that if anyone wants to issue their own journals, they are welcome to do so. As to what notebook and what kind of rules they abide by is up to the issuer. The circulating journal I have been mantaining is just a suggestion.

Thanks for your speedy answer to my question. I wanted to get some of the Cahiers to write in , glue stuff into, etc to send to my daughter in Mozambique. (I have been using something larger & heavier as a "scrapbook" from home sort of thing, but going lighter weight & thinner would be more economical for me.) I can work around bleed thru, but feathering would be unacceptable. Do these feather badly?

I hope it gets here soon. We are leaving on a camping vacation to Gatlinburg, TN on Friday morning and are taking two 9 week old Sheltie puppies with us. I am thinking of taking the journal with me for the week and perhaps enclosing some other journal notes from the week of the puppy vacation in with the regular journal entries.

Otherwise I will just have to wait until we return home.

ANES001 arrived in San Diego while I was on vacation but will hit the mail today on its way to Jose in Marlborough. Only 4.5 pages left in the little Moleskin. Unlikely to make it back around to me again.

What comes next?

ANES014 is sitting on my messy desk. It has been written in and will be on the way to the left coast tomorrow. It is interesting to see the different inks and nibs as well as read a bit about those handling the journal

With envelope and half page of 32# HP paper it is 1.6 oz weight.

This is my first time for a journal 'Post and Play'. It was my introduction to Moleskins. I may spring one on my family. At one time we had a "Round Robin" letter. But, as the older folks died the cousins failed to kep that up. Email and the computer world killed thse things I guess.

Can someone tell me where the spell check button is on Moleskins?

Anes 011 made it here today. I will take it with me on vacation and will write in it while on vacation. I may include some pictures from the vacation. I don't yet know if I will mail it out during the week or when I get back.
