Here's my somewhat meager desk. It's standard dorm-room issue here at school, but the windows to the left are wonderful and look out over a big, grassy quad.

This is my desk in a somewhat normal state. Sadly I don't have much of a desk left because the computer monitors take up most of the room! The front drawer makes a nice keyboard tray.

This is my bolt hole, tucked away in my bedroom. I like it tidy as I don't have very much room. I like to do my fun writing here and my work on the dining room table.

Your desk is so nice! I like the tea things too-- makes me want to sit down at my desk with a cup of tea & my journal. If I am not being too nosey, what make of journal is that? I like the vintage look of it.

The journal is a Roma Lussa with a good quality Italian, fountain pen friendly paper. The colour paper is a light cream, no lines. I had the leather embossed with my initials and my birthday this year as it was my 40th birthday present. It was very expensive but I thought it was a great way to record my 40th year. Friends think I'm very odd and don't understand why I've not gone for bling or shoes!

 

Tea is just essential, at all times!

Not too worry. Yours looks clean as a whistle compared to mine, or rather, the bunch of desks and tables I use .

 

My workspace is such a mess that just the thought of publishing a picture makes my head go down in shame....

 

It'll probably take me another year or so before it is even remotely as tidy as yours...

I guess it's time for me to update my desk shot -- moved a couple of months ago. Keep in mind this was taken Saturday, and Sunday is "clean up day." It's quite tidy at the moment. NOT!

 

Rent here in Honolulu is really exorbitant. I have a 403 sq ft (not including lanai) studio. I figured I'd go back to my Japanese roots and do without chairs (they just take up space). So it's floorsitting on cushions and a tiny folding table:

Indeed my mousepad does light up! It is a Thermaltake Gamma Pad. It can light up any of these colors or cycle through them. The dip pen is actually one i bought at wal-mart i thought it would be okay for testing inks but it is so sharp and scratchy that it is terrible to write with. It was really cheap though.
