Almost everything I own is tied up in this one corner of the house.

Hopefully I've sized it small enough to leave out the incriminating details, like the fact those are 24" monitors...

I recently purchased a new desk to get myself moreorganized. Now everything is within reach. So, here is my new desk- which made Ikea very happy!

http://www.livin4jc.net/blog/images/DSC006450001.JPGhttp://www.livin4jc.net/blog/images/DSC006460002.JPG

I have a lot of stuff in a small space! The metal cabinet on the leftside houses all of my stationery and my collection of inks. It isoverflowing into my closet! I have my daily printer on top which has mypaper trimmer, cutting mat, clip board, and book rack all hanging on the wallbehind it. I try to keep my desktop as clean as possible. I havethe usual tools on the desk - from left to right calculator, Easy button, business card holdermonitor, stapler and tape dispenser, PC tablet pen, deskpadwith a wireless keyboard, speakers, bottle of Sheaffer Skrip ink, postal scalefor my mailings, post-it note holder, light with clock, behind the light ismy four in use inked pens, stamp for marking when I am receiving mail, awhite board which helps me keep track of daily need to knows and of course themouse. It is hard to see, but I have a desktop sorter stuck on the sideof the cabinet where the phone is for my outgoing mail. On the other sideof my desk, between the PC tower and the stationary cabinet, I have a pen casewith my out of rotation pens. I have a cordless phone and then my twoline office phone on my TV stand. You can see my TV, VCR, Cable Box, andVCR/DVD/Blu-Ray collection. Out of the picture is my Blu-Ray and DVDplayers - very important whilest working!

Above my desk on the first shelf I have my fax machine, two stationery boxes -one with my fountain pen converters and cartridges, a few knock abouts - theother with my calling cards and business cards. Next is my note padsalong with my Alvin mesh bag for carrying mail and checks on my errand runs, a"leather" file tray which is where I keep my miscellaneous officejunk in a drawer tray, short-term reference mail, and my planners. Ironically, I do not use my "big" classic size planners anymore sincefinding a Quo Vadis Sapa X planner which fits in my pockets.

On the second shelf, I have my NAS which is directly to the left of my baskets, two baskets with various electonics (USB cords, camera, floppy disks, cd-roms,dvd-roms, brother labelers, etc.) and three black boxes which hold my mailerspostmark stamp, my collection of XStampers for any occasion, and a bunch ofinkpads, etc. Finally, on the right is two of my journals - one forletters and the other for all the secret codes that PC Software manufacturerswant you to use to start their software, serial numbers, and membership IDnumbers.

The next shelf up has my postmark materials for mailing out requests forpostmarks - namely this is a bunch of 6x9 envelopes and index cards. Themiddle box has my blank media, the black box with the post it has all my extrapower adapters, followed by a plastic box to hold my postmark collection.

The top shelf has my flatbed scanner, extra ink cartridges and toners, and myseldom used photo printer. You can catch a glimpse of my TV stand whichhas my collection of liquor for those cold nights in the Windy City.

Under my desk has my collection of audio CDs in the black binder, a bin withpostage, postcards, fountain pen catalogs, and articles I found on fountainpens. There also is a bin I place my receipts and pending items into forlater action.

Yeah, so the new setup allows me now to have enough room to spread out andwrite as well as to actually get work done and keep my desktop clean. Which means that I actually can get those postcards and letters out (whichsometimes sat for months waiting to be found on my desk!)v

Haha, A History of Western Music. I am well acquainted with that textbook!

Actually now I'm only eager to buy 149 or 146. And on the picture is Sailor 1911))))

Glad that you thought that it's MB))))

С уважением и наилучшими пожеланиями!

FYI...those "Sound Sticks" are too close together....they need to be separated by at least 9 feet..or so.. to demonstrate their stuff. + u need to adjust the base module in order to get those clean lows. I've moved to a different system....gifted those "stix" to a long time friend...after he had a bad break-up.I really enjoyed the desk pics...some of them have been created for our viewing enjoyment only....aye? The one with the dual rice bowls has no space to write in.....duh? What's with that? Does that other person play the cello standing up? Amazing! The Noodler's line up pic is really something...does your shrink know about this ?...LOL Some of the anal retentiveness only bares out what i've long suspected about some FPN'ers.....j-k.....don't take this too seriously....please.Phones with cords, bottles of hooch on the shelves....has the world gone retro...and nobody's told me? BTW that can't be a lawyer's desk...there's no blood on it! LOL. My accountant, and my music teacher have desks way clone-like. My scriptorium is a very private domain. Only my g-f has access to it, or will ever be granted admittance there.
