I have been wanting to post this since completing my collection of pens. A French writing desk and a stationery box that houses pens and related accessories.

It's messy. But, it is very functional for what I do.

The male line of my family are known for sloppiness of desk. So rather than show you my home or office desk, I'll show you the desk where I do the bulk of my writing.

First, the mobile desk for schlepping my pens, paper, laptop, and research:

Second, the desk itself. Quite desk-like, don't you agree? Nothing special...

...until you zoom out! (Apologies for the poor homebrew pano)

It's a wonder I get anything done on writing days. I'd rather be playing! In case you're wondering, this is the fourth floor of the Salt Lake City Public Library, looking southwest toward the Wastach Mountains.

WOW what a view...I'm so jealous..

Sincerest Regards

Uh, I read "since completing my collection" and I saw Pelikans, sorry I am curious: can you elaborate this please?

Thanks!

Andre,

My collection focuses mainly on usage and I can cover most nib configurations: round, and cursive italic in various sizes and also flex. I also have a mixture of new and vintage. I’ve chosen Pelikans exclusively because of their reliability, interchangeable nibs and piston fillers. They write first, every time. Thanks for asking.

Here goes. The top pic is where I'm sending this post from, the lower one is "my desk".

Lovely writing desk! Love how you've got everything arranged--I would love to have a second desk with no computer!

Nice (and tasteful, I might add)! I have the same pen box! How did you set that tray up?

Great, Pelikans are the majority of my collection too, but I am afraid I focus more in appearance than in usability ;)

Thanks for your answer.

Thank you for your comments. I am not exactly sure of your question but if you are referring to the slotted tray where the pens are resting, they can be purchased online at gopens.com and are called slotted display trays.

Very interesting thread! I notice a proliferation of Macs in the thread: I wonder if FP users have a sense of aesthetics that would also account for them being Mac users :P :happyberet: I'm adding to the statistics as you can see!

As for my desk, below. Work in progress is on the left, including the three volumes of Karl Jaspers's Philosophy which I'm currently writing about. The black case of my Tombow object is almost hidden underneath the red folder. Three bottles of ink can be seen on the right: Green Skrip, Waterman Florida Blue and Mont Blanc Royal Blue. Next to them, my Wality 52 and Pilot 78G. In the foreground, my Moleskine notebook with the Reform 1745: I've found that they match up very well. I just finished writing a note when I took the pic. Because it's a Saturday, you can also see a cheeky glass of beer (Deuchars) on the right hand side!

I just got this.

It's in black. Even my Pelikan 1000 fit in this wrap.

I just re-organized my desk to make better use of my desk space.

You wouldn't happen to be an Apple fan, would you? ;)

Here is my Haven: it's so quiet here;
Only the scratch of a pen, the candle's flutter;
Shabby and bare and small, but O how dear!
