Sitting down...

My homework and clipboard are what's up front, this thread is on the monitor. Given that I'm a righty I need light from the left so I use my brother's old flourescent light. The back of my computer serves as a magnetic board for posting postcards, post-its, and magnets among other things. Behind the Monitor I've got a copy of the Declaration of Independence. Talk about nice penmanship!

On the shelf is my stamp collection, below that is a pile of C.S. Lewis books (mostly), and an old corkboard/dry erase board.

On top of the books sits my clear pen jar - the top half to a stack of blank CD's. Come to think of it, an old ball Jar would work well for storing pens, especially all those colorful Esties coming in the mail...

Here's my trackball mouse and a photo I took of my older brother (looking for my lost younger brother) in the Pittsburgh Carnegie Library.

Hopefully you survived the pictures of all that clutter. I want to have everything temporarily straightened up before Christmas.

Jordan,

C.S. Lewis. Good choice for multiple books.

BTW, your setup (compared to some I've seen...er, uh, nearby) is very neat.

Here is a shot of my desk. I just rearranged things quite a bit. Where there is now my journal(I love Paperblanks) and flourescent light, there used to be a CRT monitor, keyboard, and mouse for the computer tower that you can see sitting underneath the desk. I decided that it is much nicer having that lamp there... it used to be on top of the shelf up there; not too much good for writing. It was having a hard time casting light onto the top of the journal.

Wow, I have many fond memories of me walking through those stacks (edit: in the library).

Me too! I went to Carnegie Mellon and lived on campus. The Carnegie was just across Panther Hollow. The public library was an awesome. I loved that area--right next door to Schenley Park, museum, art gallery etc.. And it was quite beautiful too.

Where do you live? It's winter overhere and way too cold for shorts.

edit, Just read, in Florida. That explains the shorts. :D

wow, i really need to do some proofing before posting. I just get excited about the ideas on FPN, and start shooting the camera. Thanks for pointing out the bra... and yes it's my wife's. I had to look a second to find the shorts you were talking about. Yes sunny florida is about 78 at noon this time of year. We don't have any long pants here, except the pair we wear to weddings.

Glock model 22 with Winchester 155 gr JHP and a spare mag on top of the scanner. Its Saturday so I change which mag I carry loaded in the gun. I just relooked at the picture and peeking in on the far right is my 1861 CS Richmond musket.

A Model 36 and Model 23 here. No musket. Does a 12 ga. pump count?

I've never seen pens in a champagne glass before.

Hey Splicer, don't you know it's dangerous to store a hammer anywhere near a computer!
