Yes that is a picture of me playing the bass. I have been playing for about 8 years now. I am a bit of a guitar collector too. I play mostly my Gibson Thunderbird or my Ibanez BTB 6 string.

Once a pen was so happy to be bought. So much so, that it piddled all over its pages.

Hello adair,

yes, you have very good eyes (or glasses) it's "Rilkes Gesammelte Werke" what you see. He is my best loved poet.

Greetings from Germany

I'm not a native speaker of the english language. My apologies in advance when I'm causing trouble by bad grammar, wrong vocabulary, misspelling - friendly correction always welcome!

Just another to add to the pile.... From about 80+ years ago, made in the Amana colonies...weighs about 10 lbs yet is solid wood. As the second picture shows it has a wonderful hidden drawer for pen-related stuffs so that my girlfriend doesn't think me too crazy.

Here are a couple of pictures of my desk. It is a "corner" type computer desk. In the first picture you can see the center and right. For now, I can have all my pens out in my case. (Minus the one at work).

The second pic is the left side of my desk. You can see my writing/drawing/parallel edge board, and a couple of hand-thrown inkwells my wife made for me.

Thanks for the compliment. I have tried over the years to build something of which I can be proud. I just got a new pen case so I will be moving some of the pens over to that case. It is a Paradise Pen Black Sycamore case that will hold 60 of my pens.

We were lucky in that we found a builder that basically makes the same house quality wise, whether it is a 2 million dollar house or a quarter of that (and, as a result, I believe he is out of business now).

I've enjoyed this thread. Here is my sanctuary.

I got the idea of using a glass floral frog as a pen holder from somebody else on this thread (RichardS?). I found it at the antique mall today. I think it looks good on the desk. I just need more pens to fill it up!

Every single page of this thread has at least one picture which makes me go "wow!", or something to that effect.

This page's "Wow" recognition goes to Elcinogrande. The desk and the desk-blotter look amazing. And the twin oil-lamp makes the whole thing look all antiquey.

What an astute observation, wackyjacky1 . Yes it is a SB....(I'm in New Mexico, and Texas is not far away).

You have a great desk as well. Any desk that has a copius number of pens on it is a great desk. BTW, I just got a white tortoise as well

Thanks, Shangas. I'm very proud of my desk/home office. The lamp was purchased at an antique show. I got it for a steal. I've seen these kind of lamps go for as high as $200.00. I asked the lady at the table how much for the lamp. She didn't know, as it was her husband's stuff. The lamp wasn't marked. She said, "How about $25.00?" I said I'll take it, and her husband just walked up and couldn't believe what she had done. But, he still sold it to me for what she said.

I like your mouse mat

Thanks. Mouserug.com.

It is a nice writing slope, and new to me.

I got tired of trying to write balancing

a notebook between the arm of my

chair and my table.

Found it at an antique mall last weekend-

gift from my desk thieving husband.
