Sorry for the poor image quality and size, I am a novice at digital photography. This is where I do most of my writing. My pens are in the lap drawer of the desk.

Is that a bottle of Penman I see on your desk?

It is a Penman bottle, but the ink is a golden brown mix that I really don't care for. That is why it is the sacrificial ink to sit out in the sunlight. Here is a picture of my ink drawer, which contains about half of my supply (the rest is at home), and the pen tray pulled out from the lap drawer.

It looks like you also have the same Levenger pen case that I have (see 3 or 4 posts before this one).

Indeed I do! Right now it is only housing the bottle of ink and a Faber Castell E-motion maple wood ballpoint pen. Before I sold a handful of pens recently, my two Hero pens also lived in there.

Which ink bottle is that in yours, looks sort of like an old Hong Kong red?

I am not at home right now, but it is (I think) an OMAS 'Return to the Motherland' bottle-red ink, and mostly gone. I love that case, solid cherry. I have a ton of Levenger stuff, but some of the other pieces are a little nicer.

Doug, what are all the pens in your drawer? Some of them look really nice.

Office. Sorry, I had to tidy up my electronic desktops, but the rest is as it is every day.

My desk is ultra-cool: it is fully electronic and can adjust from sitting on a zafu to standing, even for a person much taller than I.

Here is the desk I built in the office or "computer room", still a work in progress. This is actually not going to be my desk, but used for my wife and any number of workstations. It is a 7-foot-long slab of granite, and from the shadow line you can see that that it floats an inch away from the wall, so the cords can hang back freely. There are no legs, so you can put a seat anywhere and arrange as many working areas as you like. It looks more impressive without towers and freestanding file cabinets under it yet! It weights about 300 pounds.

The photo is not very good, I'm afraid. The walls are overexposed from the flash, and the color is "Caramelized Orange". The floor is 5" wide cherry planks. I'm planning poplar trim woodwork dyed black. The ceiling is white venetian plaster, polished smooth.

At least you can see how shiny the granite is. It's 3cm thick and the pattern is called "Black Galaxy". On a related note, earlier this week my wife started a S-corporation to go into business selling the stuff. That is, opening another store like the one we bought this from.

Once a pen was so happy to be bought. So much so, that it piddled all over its pages.

My son has the same guitar chords poster on the wall in our extra bedroom turned into a guitar room. Is that a picture of you playing bass? I sold some pens a few months ago to buy a Fender Deluxe P Bass Special, and am slowly finding my way. I always wanted to play bass as a teenager, now 30 years later I am finally learning.
