O sorry I thought Luxury Brands was a retailer. Whenever I googled "noodlers" their name came up. So sorry for the confusion--my confusion that is

Have bought a few bottles from Greenman before. Very reputable and quite rapid delivery. Good to know he has it.

Don't get too concerned, of the first batch buyers, I'll bet some won't like the ink. I'll bet there will be some on the open market soon!

Before I spend that much on some ink, I'll wait for reviews so others can tell me what they think of the ink.

I think you're confused. Rachmaninov is a pink ink from the Russian series (now available through Swisher Pens).

The new purple that this thread is about is called "La Reine Mauve".

Just to be clear, Rachmaninov isn't just pink, it's PINK.

I just saw on Isellpens.com that another batch will be available on Nov. 7, as they sold out of their first batch already!

Dang it.

If you want to purchase from them (no affiliation, etc.), you can pre-order, so you won't have to try and catch an order on any particular date. You can either "purchase" another ink of the same price and put in the comments that you want La Reine Mauve instead (and you might want to shoot them an email as a backup just in case), or you can PayPal them the proper amount with your order in the comments. Then they'll send your order out whenever they get it in next.

Hope everyone enjoys this ink! I can't wait to receive mine! :D

Inks currently in pens: Noodler's La Reine Mauve, Rachmaninov, Prime of the Commons Blue-Black, Naval Orange, MN Whaleman's Sepia, Verdun Green, Majestic Orange; J. Herbin Violette Pensée, Rose Cyclamen, Orange Indien

Take heart!

I just now picked up a bottle at my local pen shop and they seem to have several bottles of Reine Mauve on the shelves. If you are interested, you can try contacting the Bromfield Pen Shop (no affiliation) at http://bromfieldpenshop.com/home/ .

To kookychick - Thank You! I made a quick swipe of the ink at work using a Q-tip (I must wait until I get home to try it in a pen or two, but the Q-tip made for a fun effect) and I really like the color. An excellent addition to the Noodler's line, and the bottle artwork is perfect for the Halloween release date.

Finally he said, "Well, the hours are good..."

..."So the hours are pretty good then?" [Ford] resumed.

The Vogon stared down at him as sluggish thoughts moiled around in the murky depths.

"Yeah," he said, "but now you come to mention it, most of the actual minutes are pretty lousy."

Not anymore, I swiped the last one! I'm excited to get it and compare it to the Color of the King. I'm excited that there is more bulletproof purple being made as well. If I like it I'm sure i'll buy a few more bottles. I've been trying to write in purple as often as I can now because the University's main color that I work at is purple.

p.s. thanks kookychick for organizing it!

Yeah, that's what I'm waiting for: a review of this purple. Next purchase is probably the FPN Manuscript Brown which is sorta pricey, so wondering how this new ink performs which sounds even more expensive.

Bulletproofs take a bit more to create than standard inks, so yeah, they run a bit more expensive. Worth it, though, in my opinion.

Anyone got a spare bottle to send to Spain?

PM me if you do, please :)

I don't want to have to wait until my (possible) trip to the USA next year!!

If what TheWritingSwede said is true, you might find it useful to buy from The Writing Desk. If they have placed an order, I am guessing they will sell the 1 oz bottle for £5.99 like the others... and postage to outside the UK but within the EU is £3.50 for the first bottle. So, it would come to £9.49 to ship a bottle of the lovely purple stuff... which in my mind is approximately €12.

Never fear. He's got more. :)

How, exactly, does this shade differ from Violet Vote/Iraqi Indigo? It's that monitor thing again, I'm sure... just looking for a comparison.

I'll stick with my Highland's Heather for BP purple. More like Lavender, but I'll survive. ;)
