Lobbying for new Noodler's bulletproof purple!

There is a queen on the label....to the side, a minor panel in a panorama...but it is not, ah - well...conventional or conservative. She is certainly not a Mata Hari - in fact she is in a full ball gown and quite elegant....yet there is a detail that is unusual and that I am certain no other company would ever put upon a product. Many users of Noodler's Inks are authors and artists. I believe they will be the pensters to appreciate the humor, though perhaps not as many members of any European aristocracy would find it as amusing.

Hint: the name is French - with perfect French structure and spelling....just for fun. ;-)

She also liked cake....

Sounds like ...

Has anyone seen this yet?

"La Reine Mauve"

I checked Swisher Pens and did not see it. It looks like it's a standard distribution item, and not an exclusive.

Hmmm, maybe you should add some kind of kooky chick to the label, too. ;)

YAY!! Now Nathan needs to let us know who will have it! I'm dying to get my hands on some.

It was never implied to be an exclusive. We just had an email campaign started by kookychick to say, "please give us bulletproof purple!" It looks to be here! I'm excited! :bunny01: :bunny01: :bunny01: :bunny01: :bunny01:

THANK YOU :notworthy1: KOOKYCHICK :notworthy1: AND NATHAN!! :notworthy1:

edit: I have 3 bottles on reserve. It just became available yesterday for dealers to order. Nice catch, El Mocho!

Love the ad copy

Alas, the evolution of this ink and this label incorporated the input of more than 1,000 Noodler's Ink aficionados and references to vintage inks spanning nearly 100 years.

Wow, this looks great - I can't wait to get some! :puddle: I wonder how long it will take to get it into distribution and available for purchase?

 THANK YOU, NATHAN!!!! The color looks beautiful--dark, but quite noticeably purple! It doesn't appear chalky, either! :cloud9: And smooth like Bulletproof Black! :clap1: I can't wait to try it!!! (Yeah, can you tell I'm a bit excited? ;))

kookychick, what's "Prime of the Commons Blue-Black"? :)

It's a bulletproof "security ink"--I believe it's a Niche Pens exclusive. Supposedly, if you pour bleach on it (i.e., try to alter it), it turns blue! Here's where I got it (no affiliation, but they were fantastic to purchase from):

http://www.pelikanpens.co.uk/water-proof-inks.htm

It's in the Legal Lapis/Tahitian Pearl color range, but has been shading more noticeably than either of those two. Nathan said that with certain papers, the blue and black almost separate. I haven't had much of a chance to use it extensively, but it flows quite well (though isn't a gusher). I'm really enjoying the shading, and am looking forward to trying it out on different papers (after exams)! :D

Wow. That sounds like a fantastic Noodler's find, too! I might have to see about getting a bottle.

I preordered 3 bottles of La Reine Mauve from Todd at ISellPens. I might have it within a week to 10 days, depending on when Todd gets his order and the amount available overall from Nathan. The rush is on to see who will pop up the first review (though I think that honor should go to kookychick). :D

Here's a detail (from the Luxury Brands page):

In general I'm not a purple fan, but I'll be getting some Reine Mauve, which I'm betting will combine with Noodler's standard Blue or Eel Blue to make a nifty second-generation Mystery Blue. Also, I must admit, it's an attractive color in its own right. B)

That's really sweet of you, kiavonne! :D But I don't want to stifle anyone's creative urges (and I'll be in the middle of some massive exams when the ink arrives), so please, everyone should feel free to review it whenever they get it!
