I really want to get a 149! FPH won't ship to me though. :crybaby:

Must...find...way... :ninja:

Hello,

why won't FPH ship to you? Don't they ship to Canada?

No its funny but if you are not an existing customer they cant ship it due to MB restrictions.

An "existing customer" ?! I'm afraid I don't understand this one... :hmm1:

A fantastic comparison, I am quite tempted to get a new 149, how much bigger is it then the grander roller ball?

Not MUC bigger but it is defenetly bigger.

This is invaluable information to someone like myself just starting out. Thanks for the study.

I think what MB is doing is protecting their dealer base in different jurstictions. Unfortunatly considering E-commerce is near maturity, some luxury goods companies than on the Pen brands we know and love have mental block when it comes to ordering online.

PS, of the 149 and 146 and I have handled both, I would rather have a vintage 146 with a single tone nib.

Thank you so much for this fine review. I am really inclined to try MB. MB's can't be such bad pens if you have written such a nice review.

Thank you :)

One is prettier than the other.

But I'm not saying which is which.

Great comparison / review! I must agree that once you compare the 146 directly to the 149, the feel of the 149 usually wins you over. I have small hands and I still feel that the 149 is a comfortable size. Whether it's comfortable in your shirt pocket is a totally different matter!

Cool review. You may have decided me that 146 is the pen for me. ...Or 149!

......Maybe both. I'm in trouble.

The first pen I took out to test was the 146. There is something very familiar about it.

Every time I take this pen and use it it feels as if I never left it. It’s like an old friend welcoming you home. It is so comfortable and natural in the hand with perfect balance and light weight that it makes me want to use it more and more.

Couldn't agree more. My 146 is probably the most comfortable pen I own - its size and weight are pretty much ideal for me and its balance is, as you say, perfect.

Write, write, write. Use your pens not your fingers !!!

Very informative review. I don't think I'll ever buy a MB for myself, but I will buy a 149 based on your review for friends and family.

May I ask why not get a MB for yourself ?

From my limited experience: If you like to post-> 146 if not -> 149

It's a personal thing. Both are great pens.
