Another color comparison:PV and Noodlers

Recommended Posts

I now have a few more colors to line up side-by-side. Here are some Private Reserve inks as well as one by Noodlers Ink. it is my first try at Noodlers and i must say i'm very happy!!Not only in the value of the ink but in the color and reproduction online and in catalogs. Not to say that i don't like PR because i do very much!!

I used five different pens and five inks here. The next post will have a photo of the pens themselves.

I really like the Noodlers Cayenne. I'am using it in my new Laban Mentor which i hope to review later. I'm not as happy as i could be with it but, then again,i didn't pay top dollar for a gold nib. Nevertheless,it will be a great work pen!!

Let me know what you think of the photo. It is from Nikon D50 SLR. I love this camera!!

Cheers,

I'm still "boring." :P I haven't tried colors other than blues, blue-black, and black. Hey....BUT...give me credit, I did purchase some PR Naples Blue! Very beautiful pens!

Handlebar,

Few people have orange/red as their dominant pen color; I think it's really cool. They are all beautiful though my favorite is definitely the Nova! How is it as a writer?

Hi Ryan!! The Signum Nova is my favorte writer (although the Visconti comes in a close second). I love the nib and the smoothness of it. If i find more Signums, especially the DeDevina series,i will try to snatch them up.I have only found one of them on sale at ebay for an absurd price ($400 i think). They should really only be around $150 to 250 used. The pen is also my heaviest but in a good way.I hope to do a review of all the pens in the photo sometime soon.Time just isn't there yet..

Great handwriting as usual Handlebar. I like that paticular style you write in. All of the pens in the photo are sheer eye candy!

All the best,

How can you tell when you're out of invisible ink?

That's some super handwriting, HB! Thanks for showing that Black Cherry, too. I just ordered some myself! What nib size is on that Conklin? It's such a gorgeous green to boot!

Hi Kelly!! The nib on the Conklin is a fine. I really like the way it writes although a stub nib would be nice as well. My wife has a blue Conklin Glider with a stub nib that writes delightfully!!!
