What were the Omas pens of the early 90s?

I don't know that pen. There are Arte Italiana pens that are close but of course are faceted.

I flipped through my OMAS book (published in '97 though) and the closest thing is an OMAS D-Day pen which has a green body with a silver cap but gold accents.

Wow -- I totally forgot about that model but now that I look at the photos I'm almost sure it was the same one. Only difference is that the one in Italy was black and silver. A prototype maybe?

Thanks for the help!

It could be a prototype as those do seem to find their way to the market with Italian brands.

The OMAS book I have probably isn't comprehensive when it comes to current production pens as of its time of publishing so it could have been a regular model (...though again I don't think I have ever seen such a pen).

Hi there! I was browsing for more info on Omas from the '80 as I just purchased one today convinced that it is a Gentleman/men.

Unfortunately, still after some research on the topic, from all the available catalogs and pics I can't figure out witch model is mine exactly.

I have reason to believe that it is somewhere around 1988.

It is the 12 side faceted one alright but the cap is same as on some Paragon and the Arco celluloid.

Please can anybody shed some light?

I believe that is the IX Centenario, or Studiorum Saecularia issued in 1988 to mark the 900th anniversary of the University of Bologna

It was based on the 557 or "Gentleman", which is similar to the Paragons from the Arte Italiana series.

Thank you very much WW!

I was actually looking for a Delta on some auctions while only having several Omas in my wish list but I stumbled upon this one (the usual bargain purchase) and I just fell in love.

I am now suffering expecting from one day to another to get a hold of the pen.

I hope that you won't mind if I may bother again for info in the future given your knowledge and collections of the Omas...

Not sure that's right as both of those pens to my knowledge were marked as that on the barrel and this one seems to be blank.
