I guess I am on the real short end of this but pens that don't get used regularly get moved - not to mention a budget limited by a stay at home wife and two kids...

Anyhow-

Parker "51" flighter

Parker "51" burgundy aero

Parker green striped Duofold

Parker 21 black

Waterman Expert 2000 LE

All get used in the daily rotation - save the 21 which has a broad nib and is used mostly for signatures and personal correspondence (rather than note taking and marking up documents).

I have a couple Vectors as well that I use every so often if the mood strikes me but didn't count them in my vote.

I'd sure like a few more but don't have any "cap" space to fit one in ... I'd really like one of those Conway Stewart chased ebonite Churchills - but I REALLY don't have the money for one of those :)

Over sixty, with the majority of them being Sheaffers. I have at least fifteen No Nonsense pens, four Preludes, three Javelins, two Craftsman, two Balance 875, an Award, a Legacy Heritage. I think I can tell which brand I like best....

im the person who marked one pen, by the way, lol

1 is a good place to start. :) you know of course that once you start reading all these posts, the chances you'll still have only one pen greatly lessens. :)

you are right, i am now the owner of three pens. think i will stay at that number? i dont

I was going to answer this post with a number, but then i realized my wife may see it. Then I would REALLY have to explain why I need another pen :) :) :)

I guess I must be on the far left hand tail of the curve, I only have 1 a Dani Mikado and I've got a Stipula Etruria in the mail, I guess I've got some catching up to do.

I have five and I'd like at least one more. . .

New:

Lamy Safari Graphite, broad nib

Namiki Vanishing Point Carbonesque Blue, medium nib (which my husband has absconded with)

Pelikan M805 Black, broad nib

Vintage:

Waterman 52, wet noodle nib (needs to have the nib re-tipped with irredium)

Parker Vaccumatic, fine nib (belonged to my Grandfather-- has been in a drawer for thirty years)

Supposedly my husband's Namiki VP Green and Gold, broad nib is in the mail (so I can get mine back from my husband), but the dealer we bought it from on eBay is incompitent and we're waiting for the dust to clear before we figure out what legal means to bring to bear. If we don't have it by next week, nasty things will be afoot.

Here’s my collection of 21 (plus some Vectors I keep to give to friends). I’m guessing I’ve owned about 200 or so different pens, though no more than about 25 at a time. What you see here are pens that I use regularly, and a couple that are not replaceable or have sentimental value. I do consider myself a fountain pen "user", as opposed to a "collector", and though I write everyday throughout the day, I do have trouble using all of these. I would like to get down to about 7 pens – one for each day of the week, I guess. But this darned FPN makes that awfully difficult …

Vintage 1944 Golden-Brown Stripe Parker Vac – Fine/Medium Nib

Waterman Carene Burgundy, C/C Filler – Unusual Wet Fine Nib (these are usually dry)

Pelikan M800 Blue/Black Stripe – Fine Nib

Pelikan M400 White Tortoise – Fine Nib

Pelikan M150 Black/Gold – Fine Nib

Vintage Omas Extra Green w/ Gold Accents Piston Filler – Super Smooth Fine Nib

DaniTrio Densho Raw Ebonite Matte, ED Filler – Fine Semi-Flex Nib

Namiki/Pilot Vanishing Point Black/Silver, Multiple Nibs

Waterman’s Lever Filler (can’t remember the model), Wet Writing Fine Flex Nib

Huashilai Black/Silver with Pearl accents – Fine/Medium Super Smooth Nib

Waterman Hemisphere Stainless, C/C Filler – Fine Nib

Vintage Parker “51” Aerometric Maroon – Fine/Medium Nib

Vintage Parker “51” Vacumatic Black Body, Silver Blue Diamond Clip – Fine Nib

Morph France Silver/Gold Accents – Fine Nib

Wality 69L Black/Silver Accents, ED Filler – Medium (really a fine) Nib

Visconti Wall Street Limited Edition in Blue – Fine Nib (modified to increase flow)

Visconti Opera Club Honey Almond – Fine Nib (modified to increase flow)

Parker Duofold Navy Pinstripe – Medium Nib

Aurora 88 Black and Silver – Medium Nib

Pilot ED Filler in Green – Super Smooth Medium Nib

A Few Parker Vectors

Waterman Phileas Grey/Black – horrible fine nib (ebay purchase)

I also have far too many -- here's what comes immediately to mind:

Waterman: L'Etalon, Blk, Fn; Charleston, Ivory, M; 1920's vestpocket, gold overlay, f-flex

Parker: 51 SE (3 of them, 2 in blk and 1 in blu, all XF); Sonnet SE Sterling, F; 100, Honey, F; '88, blk, F; 1920's ringtop, blk, M semi-flex; 1946 blue Vac, XF; 1941 Grn Vac Major, F

Visconti: Wall Street LE, bl, F; Wall Street Celluloid, gry, F; Wall Street celluloid BP

Ferrari D'Varese: Savant, blk, F

Pelikan: 200, gray marble, 14k .6 cursive italic (pendemonium) nib; 200, blue marble, XXF 14k "Binderized" flex nib; 400, honey tortoise, F.

John Holland: 1920's celluloid lever, XF flex nib, blk

Graf Von Faber Castel: Guilloche, blk, F

MontBlanc: Solitaire Black Stripe Doue', Roller; Mozart, burgundy, M

Lamy Safari, gry, XF

Conway Stewart: Dandy, BCHR, F

Wahl Eversharp: 1920's Gold Lever Filler, F, wet noodle nib (and a blue celluloid F flex Doric on the way from D. Isaacson ... I'm an addict ...)

Aurora: Optima full sterling BP

I think that's about 30 I can think of off the top of my head. Nice to see I'm not the only psychopath here. :bonk:

How do you like that Wall Street LE? I just got mine and love it. And I discovered today that its one of only two fountain pens I have that can write in a Moleskine sketch book without beading.

Between my husband and myself we are over 300, but that includes his insane Wearever collection. I think it is safe to say if I wanted to I could use a different pen every day of the year, but I am not aloud to play with all the pens... :D

I LOVE it! My absolute favorite fountain pen! I'd love to find one in xf, or get another to modify to xf or a fine cursive italic. I wouldn't off this pen for anything. I also have a Wall Street in gray celluloid in the cartridge/converter version, and in blue in the ball point with a Visconti capless RB refill.
