Can I edit the poll afterwards?

Shaun

Hi Shaun,

I think you can, I just checked, but it doesn't say anything specific about editing polls. You can edit your own posts, so I assume you can edit your own poll too. Just one note: if you do edit the poll, the previous votes wil be lost, everything starts from scratch. So you might just as well set up a new poll, if you like.

Runaway now before it is too late. :D

I found this forum before I found my first fountain pen. I learned so much, I eventually bought 5 pens and have about 4 more on my "must buy this year" list.

My modest collection includes:

Cross ATX

Aurora Ipsilon

MontBlanc Generation

Hero 100

Hero 329

I'm taking the fifth on this one! JC

I don't think the Amendments apply to non-US residents but I'm claiming the Fifth too!! :P :D

I feel myself slipping farther down the slippery slope of fountain pen ownership

A slippery slope indeed! My collection is up to 45 now, if you don't count my vintage self-filling Kohinoor technical pens (hey they're reallly not fountain pens)

And to think, it all started just seven months ago when I found the Waterman Phileas my mom gave me about ten or twelve years ago.

Ok, you guys are scaring me! I had two fountain pens when I started reading this forum, and now I'm up to 9 or so. The thing is, I thought maybe I'd get one or two more over the years. I can stop--it's not an obsession or anything. :D

Waterman Sérénité

Lamy Safari

Omas Ogiva Vision

Pelikan 400

Omas 360

Stipula Nuovocento en route

I had never heard of any of these before FPN!

Oh, and I forgot the 3 old fountain pens I recently found in my parents' cellar...

Well... I think the count is over 100 now. None of them are particularly grand save a dozen or so in the nostalgia/classic category.

A handful of Esterbrook Double Jewel J's.

A couple old Parkers.

A couple little Speenos from Hisnibs. Such a cool little pen. :D

A couple Penatia Madisons from Biglots today.

A couple Lanbo Pens.

One Reform pen (nice nib).

A couple Wality 52's from Todd. I like these allot for an inexpensive fountain pen.

A few old Scheaffers (includes my 1st pen a burgundy snorkel).

A few Heros, the 508 is my Fave.

A few Duke's (One on the way From Todd).

An army of cheap circa 80's obnoxious bright plastic Inoxcroms (nice nibs), $1 each at the flea mkt..

About 30 or so Rotring Cores I use for Drawing. I got a great deal on these too.

A handful of modern no-name pens some of which are very good.

I won't include the tech pens or Pen-brush pens.

I've bought Waterman's as gifts, but don't own any myself (yet).

That's my little pendom.

Wow,

This really shocked me. Maybe I don't belong here?

Now granted I have been selling of a number of them lately, I am definitely on the low side.

I don't know if I have ever had in the double digits at one time.

I better get buying!! :eureka:

Hi,

I have about 60 or so--my little pen kingdom as one of my childhood friends said. I did not name the (20) Sheaffer cartridge pens or (5 of 7) Parker Reflexes, but all the rest have names. :)

Dillon

Stolen: Aurora Optima Demonstrator Red ends Medium nib. Serial number 1216 and Aurora 98 Cartridge/Converter Black bark finish (Archivi Storici) with gold cap. Reward if found. Please contact me if you have seen these pens.

Please send vial orders and other messages to fpninkvials funny-round-mark-thing gmail strange-mark-thing com. My shop is open once again if you need help with your pen.

Does not include the four Shaeffer Caligraphy pens I also found in the back of the desk.

i like how we find things to exclude in our lists... :)

I would exclude my Osmiroid and Pilot calligraphy pens..

my dip pens.

probably some others i can think of to exclude for some reason or another.

:D My new system (not so new anymore) is to have just one pen inked at a time. This doesn't include all the Lamy Safaris with fun ink colors and varied nibs. I gave up trying to figure out why I still consider this "inking only one pen"

Ron, no need to play catch up. It's not a contest. There are many people who keep their numbers down on purpose.

Can I edit the poll afterwards?

Shaun

Hi Shaun... sorry for the delayed reply on this. I think only admins can edit a poll but i think by this time it's safe to say that there's been enough responses to leave it as is. maybe later we take another poll with a larger range. Amazing isn't it how many pens some people have..

i know there's a couple of folks here (remaining quiet?) who are in the 100s. maybe one or two even over 1K.

I like Roy's attitude. No intention of stopping now. Excellent.

I have over 100. I haven't counted for awhile, but I can just feel it.

Fortunately, I'm not attracted to that many pens :bonk:

The thing is everytime I get a new exceptional pen like the 149, or my Mikado. I write with both of them and think "I'm going to sell off all my other pens, why do I need any pens other than these two

But then the siren song of another beauty calls to me and... ah well, you know the rest

I need new clothes, but my motto has become "If I can't write with it or on it, than I don't buy it"

You should see what my food looks like
