FWIW, none of these I bought "because" they were LE pens. They just happened to be LE pens I liked.

I love your style in pens! I have been after a 1911 for quite some time! Very nice!

Nice collection. It is nice to see someone who is brand specific. I seem to aim at the whole spectrum.

Most of my f/p collecting hobby consists of vintage pens. I just recently sent off my Aurora Sole to Kenro, and I have an

Aurora 88 w/a stub nib coming in next week. I still plan to do a review on the Sole, and maybe on the 88 if y'all are interested.... :D

I'll try to post some pictures later but I think the closest I have to "limited edition" pens are:

  • 3 Pelikan "Special Places/Cities" pens: Place de la Concorde; Grand Place; and Piccadilly Circus
  • Lamy Safari "Blue and Red"
  • Bexley Fountain Pen Network Simplicity pen from 2007*

I purchased the Pelikans because I really liked the color scheme, size, weight, etc. I've found that the M600 size is a perfect size for my hand: I don't need to post the cap to use the pen and it just fits in my hand very nicely. It was the same with the Lamy Safari-- I already had one and liked that pen so I wanted to get a 2nd one. I will admit that since the Safari "blue and red" sort of matches the school colors of my employer, there was a bit of an emotional "ooh, pretty!" factor. And with the Bexley pen, I wanted show my love for the Fountain Pen Network (and the Bexley Simplicity model it's based on is a lovely pen in its own right).

*By the way, what is the official name for that pen??

The Augusta celluloid is a lighter celluloid than the RMS Titanic LE despite one retailer (the one I bought it from) saying that they were the same. I wouldn't have known if I hadn't got hold of the Titanic set. The LE pen has a much darker colour and a swirl rather than the patches of the Augusta (a similar celluloid is shown here).

I don't have photos that would show my LEs together in a huddle. But here is my list of LEs:

Omas Galileo Galilei

Omas Lucens Black

Omas Bibliotheque Nationale

S.T. Dupont Vertigo II

and if you desire so, you can count my Tibaldis as LEs (although mine are unnumbered and unengraved):

Impero / Iride

Just like David, I bought none of them because it was a limited edition but because I loved the pen. I actually don't care whether they are limited or not. :bunny01:

There are two Titanic celluloids; one matches the Augusta, and one is the one you've got.

Visconti made two LEs with different finishes under the same name?

I think the answer to your question is "No." I had understood there was a Titanic LE and a regular production Titanic. I have the same one you do, the dark blue with swirl, which is a c/c filler. The Augusta/Titanic blue is the LE, which has a Visconti pressure filler. If I am wrong about the filling systems, I am willing to stand corrected, but I do know there are two Titanic models.
