Professional Gear - on steroids!

Sailor has released an oversized version of the Professional Gear. It's 143mm long when closed and 168mm long capped. Quite similar in size to the King of Pen, and it also has the same 21k nib as the KoP, but it's made of resin, not ebonite. Pictured here in gold trim, but it's also available in silver/white metal trim and white gold nib.

There was a thread about this pen a little while ago, so I think it has already been discussed.

I do like the chunky look of it. I'd have to see it in person.

It's a pen that makes sense for those who want the big 21k nib but aren't keen on the shape or material of the standard KoP.

I prefer drug-free pens.

So here's what happened
While you were nappin'
I just went out for a snack
I was feelin' famished
And then I vanished...
But now I'm back

That cap band makes me think of an obi. Anyone know what it weighs?

Not sure of the retail price, but I have seen them in Pengallery's Ebay store for a buck or two under $480.

Not much, as it's made of plastic. Weight is just over an ounce, I believe.

Oh, I'm interested, and I just saw one last night at Dromgoole's, the Sailor reps were there with the new pens, etc. I would rather have the mosaic ones, that look to be the same shape, but out of a colorful plastic (celluloid? acetate?). Also, there is a brown ebonite ProGear that is just slightly over-sized, that I really liked, but I opted to pick up an orange Pro Gear instead. Gotta leave something for later, when the piston-fillers are out, right?

The KoP in general is very nice, but it wasn't clear to me if it was available in HF in that size nib.

Has anyone else seen the over-sized "desk pen"? That thing is a BEAST of a pen, probably 10 inches long capped. They had it fitted with one of their custom nibs, the King Eagle I think? Three nibs stacked up. A very cool pen.
